Bought this thinking I'd hold a $50 burette with it but I'd rather not after seeing the sheet metal claws and having the screw bend very easily. The coating on the class was a piece of electrical heatshrink tube, and it would be better to remove it and dip your own plasti-dip or liquid vinyl coating.As others have said, it holds test tubes up to 30mm or even larger comfortably, but opening and closing the jaws constantly wears the threads down and I have already bent the clamps out of alignment once.I paid very little and got something that still works to this day, so I'm happy but have since moved on to other styles of clamps for medium duty work.

The coated surface is coated in cheap plastic, not rubber. Also, the jaws are not contoured as shown in the pic, but rather bent at an angle. Cheaply made. Will hold test tube.
