UT500 Series Insulation Resistance Testers
UT500 series insulation testers are used to measure the insulation resistance of electrical equipment and household appliances. This is done by measuring the insulation resistance between electrical circuits or between circuits and ground. UT500 series can measure insulation resistance, AC Voltage, low resistance, PI (Polarization Index) and DAR (Dielectric Absorption). These are dieal tools for ensuring transformers, genera-tors, high voltage motors, capacitors, cables, arresters and other electrical equipment that can oprate in a safe and accurate manner.

Looks fine, but poor implementation. Unreliable and/or does not work. PIR/DAR values returned are not reproducible and non sensible. We have other Insulation testers and HiPot devices and wanted a bench unit. User manual is poor at best and describes functions/features not covered in this product. Returned for refund.

Really happy with this meter. Accepts all standard "banana plug" type connection test leads so you can use your existing meter leads with gator clips etc or use the included test leads which work find also....great little meggerohmeter with up to 1000V testing and reads up to 3GOHMS of resistance. Has a 750AC volts setting so you can check to ensure your cables/equipment are de-energized for megger testing safely. Saw other meters with 5KV test capability but truly don't need that for light non-industrial testing use at home etc.

Why no body tell me about this product before!I was using my ohm meter to find the isolation fail on ev cars , it was awfulBut now it very easy to find with this meterThanks !

Me gusto mucho el equipo me pareció muy práctico u compacto lo use revisando tableros eléctricos y funcionó de maravilla.Hace algunos años tener un equipo de estos era excesivamente costoso ahora son fáciles de usar y accesible con presupuestos bajos.Creo que si lo que necesitas es hacer medidas esporádicas y no estar usándolo de una forma constante y mucho más profesional. Es decir cuando tu trabajo no implica análisis muy complejos es el equipo ideal.
