Oh gosh what is right here???This is not quilling. The whole uniquilling line looks like quilling, which is gluing paper curls and shapes onto paper. This is mounting those curls into foam backgrounds. You know it is bad when the QR code leads you to a person who is complaining about the materials while giving instructions!! We were a group of (usually) needleworkers who wanted something a little different. Well, this was different, but a fail. And to add insult to injury, as I returned the unused kits the company failed to return all the money. On one kit (a design nobody wanted) they returned $9.00 on a $10.50 item. The item is unused, the box is unopened. If I could give zero stars I would.

I was looking for a quilling project and was fooled by the brand name. There is no quilling really, instead just inserting strips of paper into the right slits on the foam board. The strips are hard to get into the paper and do not stay well even with the glue. I will admit that part of this is my fault. I should have looked closer at the project, picture, and description. I was still willing to give the project a try as I do several different types of crafts, but I found this to be much harder than it looked. Will not purchase it again.

This was 8x10 and the turtle is a little smaller. For your first project choose something a bit less and a bigger picture it will give you the practice needed to do the curls swirls and everything else. Way more paper comes with this and you will have to get your own glue and shadow box. I recommend the glue I show and I put some in a smaller bottle with a needle tip so you can control the flow. Clean the tip out after 20-30 uses by running it under hot water and blowing on the cap to force the glue and water out of the tip. This prevents the glue from hardening in the tip. Highly recommend if you have plenty of patience.

Very unhappy. Paper was wrinkled, faded and difficult to work with. Any type of glue caused the paper color to bleed into the background. So not very happy with project. It sits uncompleted in its box.
