This diver-to-diver alert devise creates a very distinct clicking sound that can be hear over 100 feet (30 meters) underwater and over 500 feet (150 meters) on the surface. Dive Cricket can be worn on your BCD or around your wrist. Dive Cricket is compact and does not require large hand motions or shaking. The Dive Cricket is activated by depressing the button and releasing, creating two distinct sounds. Dive Cricket does NOT require batteries. Dive Cricket will allow divers to create a simple code that can be used to communicate at any depth. Dive Cricket can also be used while snorkeling.

When I first got this it was nice and loud and could be heard though the entire pool. Over time and usage, it lost it's click and can't be heard more than a few feet away.

You can hear it in a pool but in open water, you can’t hear it 5 feet away.

It’s okay. I was hoping it would be a lot louder underwater, we dive in some pretty noisy areas and this doesn’t grab the attention of my dive buddies the way I thought it would.

I haven’t tried in in the Ocean yet but I used it in a pool and at distance of 40’ is was barely loud enough. In the ocean which teds to be filled with pops and clicks it won’t be that effective. I’m still gonna try it.

While the noise at surface is perfectly fine once submerged it really isn't audible.
