Very easy to install under cabinets, with 3 colour temperature switch, plus on/off switch if needed.I caution you that due to its small size it uses a 1/4 inch wire clamp, and only one comes with the unit, so if you are daisy chaining these units ( in and out) you will need to buy a second clamp for each unit...hard to find at Homeless or such...but I found on Amazon ( 10 pack was more than I needed but needed to be done.)

The fixture is high quality and easy to install. Appreciated the push connectors so bulky wire nuts were not needed. Only beef was that the punch outs were not where I needed it. No matter, I just drilled a 1/2 inch hole in the fixture where I wanted, easy peasy. I like the 3 color options which helps reduce the stark brightness of the LEDs. I installed under home office cabinets, just what I needed.

Bought this to replace an old fluorescent fixture. It is much, much better: instant on, no buzzing, more natural color. As others have mentioned, though, it can be a bear to install. Having a second person to hold it up would help. I did not have this, so I had to spend a couple profanity-filled hours hovering over my sink in the most uncomfortable, bent-over-backwards position. Hanging the base on the cabinet wasn't too bad, but the internal wires were extremely uncooperative. I had to tape them in place before I could get the rest of the fixture installed.Aside from the cumbersome setup, the only negative I've noticed with this fixture is the three-way color temperature switch. It works, but the 2700K setting produces the most sickly, jaundiced yellow I have ever seen. The 4000K and 5000K settings are significantly better, if not much differentiated. I keep it on 4000K. This is a good color temperature for washing dishes or cleaning the sink, but I don't usually keep it on for ambient lighting.I'm happy with this fixture, but if I had to do the project again, I might look for something that would be easier to install.

Fairly easy to install if you are handy. Instructions could have better images and larger print.1. Remove diffuser lens2. Remove two end screws3. Separate the unit in its two halves4. Mark the cut out holes, drill, screw base unit into place5. Route wires, apply wire nuts and snap in other half6 Replace diffuser lens.I like the three different color settings, and dimming actually works! The old LED fixture I replaced stated it was dimmable, but it wasn't.The power leads had funky connectors on their ends and weren't long enough. I used some old 2 + ground wire to extend the wires out of the hole punch-out. The manufacturer should address this. There should be plenty of excess wire to hang outside of the unit no matter which hole punchout you have to use for your installation situation. Your unit should be controlled by a light switch or rheostat. So long as this switch is off, you should not have to shut of your power or the affected circuit for installation.Even so, I would purchase it again.

Great lights, I just installed 5 sets of them - 48", 36" x 3 and 24". I bought these because1 - direct wire (120v) to replace my fluorescent lights.2 - dimmable using a separate switchA lot of the LED light kits that I looked at on Amazon were not direct wire to 120v. rather, they came with their own power adapter. Many of these are not dimmable, and the ones that are use their own dimming switch. I wanted to use the existing in-wall switch so I can dim and turn them all on at the same time. These were more expensive that many of the other kits, but none of the other kits matched my requirements.I'm not sure that all the complaints about the complicated installation are warranted. I suppose it often comes down to how much of a do-it-yourselfer you are. And, like everything, having the proper tools helps a lot! IE - fast clamps that hold the lights in place while you drill the holes to mount them. If you stagger the push in connectors (marrettes are NOT needed), there's plenty of room in the enclosure. Using a few extra zip ties also helps a lot for basic cable management. The first one took longer than the others, but after that they were very simple to install once you get on a roll.Would definitely recommend and buy again!

I replaced 5 under counter fluorescent fixtures with these units. After hours of searching, I bought these because:1. They are bright (high lumens compared to other similar fixtures).2. They come in 5k color temperature and were one of the only fixtures available in multiple sizes that does (they actually come with rocker for 3 color temps).3. They were inexpensive and installation appeared straightforward.Installation Tips -* VERY IMPORTANT - The fixture attaches to the frame by "snapping" the edge behind notches in the metal frame. Some of these go in easily and some became my nemesis on the first couple of lights I installed. No amount of force could get them to "snap" into place. On the third light I discovered the trick...use a 1 inch chisel and wedge it between the fixture and the curled edge of the frame. By twisting the chisel you can force the fixture into the notch in a very controlled way (see picture). You may scratch a tiny bit of paint on the edges, but it is all covered by the diffuser anyway and this will save you much pain.* It was difficult to hold the frame in the precise position under the cabinet to mark the mounting holes for drilling. After the first light I ordered the FastCap 3-HLITTLE Little Hand HD 3rd Hand Support System (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B002474UMG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) that allowed me to wedge the frame against the underside of the cabinet while making small precise adjustments. I marked the holes when it was in exactly the right position with no stress and without needing another person to hold it..I highly recommend you use something like this.* If you need to make a hole for the cable other than the punched holes, use a 1/2" drill bit.* Space inside the light is very tight especially the 24" and 18" units. There is room for 2 NM cables only..any other connections need to be done in the junction box or wall. You will need to space the connectors out in the box so they do not block you from attaching the fixture..make a good plan and be very patient with the 18" unit.Aside from the installation, the units are great. Very bright as promised so be sure you get a dimmer. I purchased this pair of Lutron dimmers that they say are compatible (https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B008X3CH70/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I am going to install them this morning so no feedback yet. The temperature color options are good..we are torn between the 4k and 5k options, the 2.7k is way too yellow for our liking which is why we chose this unit. Most other units only came in 3k which is also too yellow for a modern kitchen in my opinion. Since I was replacing old, thick fluorescent units this unit was less than half the thickness. It is completely hidden behind the front edge of the cabinet so I would have preferred they added 1/4" thickness to the unit and made them easier to fit the electrical connectors. There is a point of diminishing returns when making things smaller and smaller and I think they reached it here.
