This is a good quality tool for lifting most anything that the hooked end will hold. I got this to allow for pulling limbs out of dozer piles and cutting them up.

This manhole cover hook is plenty strong enough to easily lift the lid off of my concrete water main valve box at the street that our water department installed and uses.It does that job really well so I’m completely satisfied and definitely recommend it.

I bought this as a way to help get hold of heavier things I cannot reach and pull them forward. I like everything about it EXCEPT where the handle is joined to the rod. There are several bumps where the solder joint is that is very painful to my fingers. I'm going to have to wrap the handle in cloth to protect my fingers.
