I have now owned the Balnna concert high gloss ukulele for just over five weeks. I have adjusted the tuning each day as the strings settle in, the adjust is getting less and less as they have found their spots, the C string, for me, being the most stretchy, but often not having to touch G, E, or A. After a quick tuning, I can easily play for an hour plus before even thinking about the tuner, usually it's me who just needs a break & I go to do something else, pick up the uke later in the day and she's still in tune. I write about this as it was a concern for me after reading other reviews, I have found it to not be an issue whatsoever other than the usual new strings tuning. The ukulele has a nice mellow sound, it is not as bright as some soprano ukuleles, but that's the nature of sizing up to a concert. I am happy with the sound, the resonance, the playability. The tuning pegs hold nicely, no issues at this time with the build, seems like she will hold together for years to come. After playing a soprano, this was my first time using a concert ukulele and I really liked how much easier it was for my larger hands / fingers to use, it's perfect. I have seen, in the past, there was a tenor version of the high gloss available, and I would love to try that one as well, but so far, I haven't seen any available. I am over half a century old, I am enjoy this ukulele greatly, and I am also using it to teach my teenager music appreciation, as it is easy on the fingers and fun to play, and after years of protesting learning music, I find him picking it up and playing it on his own with a few of the super easy beginner books, that teach both chords and fingering, I have left strategically placed around the house. Highly recommend this ukulele, and while I don't use the case often because I tend to place it on a stand for easy access, the case is super nice. The tuner works well enough, but I have a favorite tuner I bought years ago that I still use as my go-to primary tuner. Nice that it comes with an extra string set, I hope not to have to evaluate those for a good time yet, but they seem good enough. I don't use the picks, but I do use the super nice neck strap, love it!! Overall, one of my favorite, pure pleasure, amazon buys. BTW, came in good shape as well. The outer box was a bit beat up during transit, but everything showed up in excellent new shape inside the box.

The company reached out about courier delay which broke my heart but I appreciated the update. It is now in my hands, it has the most beautiful tone and finish. As a novice it will inspire me to learn it's full potential.

I purchased the concert sized Balnna rainbow ukulele from Amazon. Let me say, it is colorful and it brings me joy.Comfortable to play (nut ifretboard with 28mm G to A string spacing). Stock action is great for my style of playing (just a hair over 2.5mm at the 12th). The flat fretboard is great for melody and fingerpicking compared to radiused fretboards. I noticed some issues with the gloss surface around the headstock and tuners. The frets are well dressed except for a few issues with sharp frets and marring of the fretboard around frets 14-18 facing the player. I do enjoy the slotted bridge as it made swapping out the strings so easy.Anyways, its a great ukelele and is fun to play. The rest of the finish work is fine and the intonation is fairly acceptable for the price point. I re-strung it with Martin M600 fluorocarbon strings as they are my preference on laminate ukes.I may order another one or the spruce model for a low G setup. The gig bag exceeded my expectations with the thick padding.I am curious why a compensated saddle is not used but that can be swaped out later on if it continues to be my favorite uke.

I think this slightly larger size is great. Our 7 year old daughter plays it without any issue with size. Quite well made and sounds good for the price I thought.

I bought this ukulele as a beginner player who'd previously owned a cheaper quality Amahi ukulele and was looking for something that would allow me to grow as a player. This concert ukulele did exactly that at a steal of a price. The ukulele comes with a nice padded cloth case with straps and a zipper pocket that keeps the instrument safe while also being very light and portable. The ukulele itself is very beautiful: everywhere I go, I get compliments on the stain of the wood and the different colored frets. This ukulele is great for beginners because it comes with colored Aquila strings (search 'Colored Aquila Strings for Kids' on Amazon when you need to restring: only twelve-thirteen dollars) which are very high quality and also help beginning players associate the strings with colors. The colored frets help as well: not all frets are colored, but the ones that are serve as great landmarks the further one travels up the fingerboard.I play this ukulele at my church, family gatherings, and other informal gatherings with friends. It's very impressive, and I'd highly recommend it for beginning players along with more advanced players searching for a unique and quality new instrument.

Very cute, work well but it was dusty, probably sold once before me and then return.
