I bought this unit after my central air-conditioner died over the 4th of July weekend. My home owners association does not allow window air conditioner units, but they do allow these portable air conditioner units.ProsThis unit blows ice cold airIt did cool down the room I put it in during the worst heatwave, when it was 110 degrees outsideIt's easy to install and maintain.ConsIt's very heavy to carry. It weighs 48lbs.It's very noisy compared to the 2 other portable air-conditioner units my air-conditioner repair company let me borrow while I was waiting for them to replace my central air-conditioner.This unit barely cooled down a 200 square foot room. I still needed additional fans in the room because the parts of the room farthest from the unit was quite warm.It's Not as good as window air conditioners. I had window air conditioners in another home i lived in and they are definitely better at cooling the house. So if you are allowed to use them, I would definitely choose the windows air conditioners over these portable air conditioners.The exhaust hose separated from the unit twice over the 10 days I used it, blowing hot air into the room. Definitely a safety concern when leaving theses portable units running when your not home so supervise them. But when it's 110 degrees outside turning them off when you leave the house isn't really an option.So these portable units do work, and kept the rooms in my house at a tolerable temperature while I was waiting 10 days to get my central air conditioner replaced. However, I would definitely go with the window air conditioning units instead of these portable units if your allowed to use them.

Conseguí un gran precio, lo que resultó ser porque la entrega era incierta. Fue más de un mes antes de que se entregara y llegara bien empaquetado y en buen estado de funcionamiento. Tengo una pequeña oficina en el piso de arriba que ve mucha luz solar por la tarde. Esta unidad funciona bien. Es más pesado de lo que esperaba y no es especialmente silencioso, pero hace un buen trabajo al enfriar mi oficina. Ojalá hubiera comprado dos al precio más bajo cuando tuve la oportunidad. Los compradores ahora han visto el valor y el precio ha subido.

I had to replace my 15 year old AC unit. I decided on this one in part because it has a heating function. That means I now only need one device to control the temperature in my room for the entire year. The fan is fairly quiet, considering the unit sits only about 6 feet away from my bed.Not a complaint really, but the temperature setting doesn't coincide well with the temperature in the room. I set the unit at 74 degrees, and it keeps my room around 70 degrees.My only complaint is that occasionally, the "swing" setting (that directs the air flow up or down) decides to reset itself to blow air down instead of up where I set it. That dramatically affects how efficiently it cools my room.UPDATE: I took off another star because now that the weather is turning colder, and I'm using the heat setting, I have discovered that the unit uses a weird method to generate heat. It sounds like it's running the A/C compressor in reverse. That wouldn't bother me, except that in the process, it is also generating a lot of water condensate. I wasn't getting any condensate when running the A/C. When I empty it, I only get around 3 cups of water, so I have to empty the water 2-3 times a day, and it's not even really cold outside yet. The additional down side of that is that winter is already much dryer than summer, and with the unit taking even more water out of the air, I'm probably going to need to find a way to add moisture back into the air. This is going to become extremely annoying by the end of winter.

I never usually write reviews but I feel ripped off & want to help someone else find another ac unit instead of this one!!I used this occasionally for 3 summer months in 2023, I always cleaned it & put it away in an indoor closet for the fall/winter. I took it out today & it has not been blowing cool air at all. It’s recycling the air but the “cool” function is not working. I have tried everything the manual says to fix the problem with no avail. I don’t have $240 each summer to buy a new ac unit for my apartment. This should work for longer than 3 months of occupational usage considering the unit is indoors unlike most others that are exposed to the elements !Noise level- loud ! Even on the sleep setting it is noisy , you can’t hear anything over it. Which is fine for someone like me that enjoys loud fans but for my partner , they prefer it to be quiet.Installation- I have standard windows that slide up, the piece that pops into the window & then into the hose is too big . I had to duct tape it to the window sill & to the hose to hold it all into place.

We got this for our pop-up camper. It worked great. Took our camper out when outside Temps were 95+ and this kept the camper at a tolerable 75°, not bad considering the camper has no insulation.

If you’re looking for a super easy and effective AC unit, this is the one! This is the second portable from this brand that we have bought. Our central unit works when it wants too, and just doesn’t keep up with this Texas heat. We have a 10,000btu in our kitchen and the 12,000btu in our living room where it is large open space, and it has made our house much more comfortable. Not only is it portable (which means it can go camping with us, or can easily be moved to another room by rolling instead of having to carry it), it also has 4 different functions including AC for when it’s hot and heater for when it’s cold. It’s not super heavy, but works better than the wall unit we initially tried. It comes with a window connection to vent the hot air out also which was a little challenging at first, but we trimmed it a bit and it works like a charm. The connector is very sturdy also, so if you are like me and have a pet that likes to try to sneak out of the house from the seal sides, they cant wiggle the side panels loose!

Hace mucho ruido, en la página donde se ofrece, hasta trae a un bebé durmiendo y el aparato funcionando, con el ruido euf hace no creo que pueda dormir el bebé.Luego dice que enfría hasta un área de 200 pies, la habitación que requiero enfriar mide 70 pies y no alcanza a enfriar incluso, seleccionando la potencia alta.No fue lo que esperaba.
