Started a new regime with this hoof supplement. My horse had a quarter crack two years ago and I have been religious ever since in giving him biotin to keep them strong. The gelatin I have been using has kept them strong but also caused them to grow more quickly. Ordered this to try instead and so far his nails look healthier, stronger (no more peeling), and have not become overgrown as in the past. So far so good! The smell is less appealing to me but he does not seem to care.

My horse loves Uckele Coco - anything products. Whatever they do when making them, my horse approves! It hasn't been long enough yet to have enough trim cycles to see the changes, but if their other products are any representation of how well this will work, I'm excited to see the results!

I can't speak to effectiveness yet, but it smells good, and my horse eats it so that's great. I'll update in 3 months if I see and changes, but my hope is that her hoof will grow out stronger from this debridement area.

Ingredients look to be good. If I were to make a supplement for our horses on my own. The bag is typical of stuff like this. Nothing negative in my eyes. Will update this review in a few months and see how things go. So far so good. We have picky horses and they like this. They don't like peppermint, apple or carrot. But they eat this mixed in just fine.

After careful inspection of the ingredients I decided to try this with one of my dairy goats to give him an extra boost in some of the minerals he was needing. The pellets are just a little larger than your normal horse feed pellets and very soft but without falling apart. Really cannot place what they smell like other than maybe vitamins, not a bad smell but not something that will excite others. I will say after a week of being on these my buck is showing signs of improvement in overall health and has perked up quite a bit.

I received the Uckele CocoHoof Pellets last week and have since been using them for five ponies on our farm. I especially look for Methionine, Biotin, and Lysine for hoof health and this supplement gets high marks for having those in a more concentrated form than the supplement I was previously using. This means smaller bags to carry around and a smaller portion in their grain ration. It takes months for a hoof supplement to work in a visible way in the hoof, so it is too early for me to tell if those ingredients are translating to hoof health. I really like the pelleted form because I can easily feed the supplement using a mesh feeding bag (powders would just run out on the ground). The only negative was palatability. One of the five ponies immediately took a dislike to the supplement and gradually reached the point where she won't even taste it anymore (or any of her grain portion that it's mixed into). She is eating all her hay as usual, and she's generally not a picky pony, but this supplement is not to her liking. The other 4 ponies all seem to like it and finish it with their grain with no problems. All in all, I recommend this supplement, but I recommend that you try a sample with your horse before you purchase a bigger quantity to make sure they will eat it!

I have a very picky large riding donkey that is prone to stone bruises anytime we get rain. We think it is partly a metabolic thing and partly that his feet just get very soft when they get wet, especially because we'll go from months without rain, to suddenly getting 3 inches of it at once.He has not had this issue since I've had him on hoof supplements (though I give him a low dose because he's so picky, and to make sure he's not getting too much sugar). I have to switch him between supplements because he is so finicky. He'll be fine with one for a month and then get tired of it and stop eating it, and I have to find a new one.I'm happy to find this to add to the rotation. It's from a trusted brand and has decent ingredients, though I do wish the gelatin was derived from plants and not from pork (this would probably not be cost effective, however).Anyway, he'll tolerate a larger dose of this than anything I've given him before, and on this supplement, his feet have just gotten through several weeks of mud from melting snow with no issues. Based on these things, I'm giving this five stars.
