works really well, always dependable, worth spending a bit extra over the cheaper versions available.

This is the first time using a heat tool these worked better than I imagined. Quiet, quick and reasonable price used this with my fairie wings using the Angelina film, for quickly drying latex and paint. Powerful yet it did not blow my latex and color everywhere. I highly recommend this product.

I have been using this for 10 months now and it still works great. Purchased for use in cell phone / tablet repairs..... heating screens up to soften glue for screen / digitizer replaement. Have done hundreds of screens with it and it still works great. highly recommended

I bought this heat tool to use to dry my watercolor paintings. Probably not the original intent by Uchida but it works great! When painting with watercolors you have to wait for certain sections to dry before you can move forward and paint some more. This heat tool dries the paper quickly and without buckling the paper. I can complete a painting in 1 day now rather than waiting 2 or 3.

this little heat tool is fantastic!! it heats up quickly and does it job fast i first tried this to melt some crayons for a crayon art project i was doing and it melted the crayons literally in seconds. it is also been handy to dry watercolor paints. what i love best about this is how quiet it is. its isnt silent by any means but it is quiet enough to where i would be able to use it at night after everyone else in the house has gone to bed and i wouldnt have to worry at all about it waking them up. it is maybe 3/4 quieter than a hair dryer. very happy with this purchase!

I use this for encaustic wax. I've had two and they last a long time. I bought extra for when the one I have wears out. I got rid of the previous one because I dropped it and the element was not centred anymore, and it was dropping little flecks of something in my paint. I'm more careful with the one I have now. Great product for what I use it for.

I purchased this for my mother, who has been burning herself with a much older embosser, and she absolutely loves this thing. She stamps and makes her own cards daily, and this little gadget has made her really happy. It's safer to use because the heating nozzle is interior to the tool. It also provides for a much more controlled application. She's been embossing homemade cards for many, many years and she told me that this is the "Cadillac of embossing irons". Seems like a 5 star to me...

I was definitely a low-key bride but then I got on Pinterest and then Martha Stewart entered my life and all kinds of stuff started to happen...including the sudden need to emboss my wedding invitations. On a scale of 1-10 of craftiness, I would give myself a 6.5: I don't live for crafting but I like to do it occasionally and do it relatively successfully. Thus, I embarked on my embossing journey.Got the stamp, got the powder...now I need the heat gun...aaaand not going to spend $36 on the one Martha Stewart makes. So this one was perfect! It worked great for my needs. I was able to emboss all my invitations and thank you cards with minimal glitter explosion. There was a slight burned smell but it was tolerable. The tool was easy to hold and use. It even cooled pretty quickly.Since the wedding I haven't really used it but I've been thinking of other uses for it:- hair dryer- dog hair dryer- sock dryer- shoe dryer- meat dehydrator- air dryer- hand warmerOk. so maybe not.

I purchased this for finishing off the tops of my homemade candles. It is so poorly (cheaply) made that the tip where the heat comes out is made out of plastic and melted during use! You would think it would be made to withstand the heat (the last one I had had a metal tip)! The tip melted and actually obscured the opening, but I was still using it (with caution). Then, all of a sudden, it stopped working. Wouldn't recommend this.

I've wanted one of these babies for over a year to use with my rubber stamp collection but they were so overpriced at the two local craft stores ($35 and up and quite cheap-looking) that I never purchased one. My sweet sister gave me an Amazon gift card for my birthday this year, and I surfed around until I found this Uchida 2500 Embossing Heat Tool and I ordered it.I have to say it's EVERYTHING I wanted and then some. It's lightweight, small, quiet and does exactly what a heat gun is supposed to do---and fast! I use it with the clear Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads (also an excellent product) and the lusciously colored a la mode brand embossing powders (the pink is HOT!) and have made some awesome dragonfies on my collages and altered books. If you're looking to add that little extra umph! to your scrapbooks, collages or altered art, then I highly recommend that you try heat embossing and this tool in particular. It's fast and easy and produces a totally classy look.
