Got this as a replacement for my old router's built-in access point. It's very unobtrusive and hardly takes up any space, and as it can be PoE powered you don't even lose a plug socket. Performance seems completely adequate for regular home use, it easily covers my entire house and most of my garden.However, it does run extremely hot - while I don't think it would actually cause burns, I certainly wouldn't want to touch it for more than a few seconds after it has been running for some time.As such, for home use it may be best placed out of reach of children or pets.

Paired these with a U6 AP and a Dream Machine. Signal on these is WAY better than My Asus Wifi 6 mesh system it replaces and more stylish to boot.Super easy to setup and they just work out of the box. Really happy with these.

Scalda di brutto.. non si puo toccare x piu di 30 secondi.. di sicuro sta sopra i 50 C, per un oggetto che dovrebbe stare in un salotto o ufficio.. non mi pare una cosa tanto normale. Inoltre, problema veramente grave.. la gittata del WiFi e' molto peggiore del modello precedente, il Flex.. sta cosa e' a dir poco scandalosa.. visto il costo che ha !! Col modello precedente.. nelle stanze accanto, muri da 28 in mattoni e muro portante in cemento da una trentina di cm, il WiFi e' praticamente assente !! mentre prima col vecchio AP Flex non avevo problemi, adesso non prende proprio il pad nell altra stanza. Consiglio per chi ha il vecchio modello di NON fare laggiornamento. Unica nota positiva, la banda piu larga effettivamente si sente.. circa il doppio.. SE non ci sono muri e comunque in un raggio di 10 mAggiorno la recensione (tolto un altra stella, da 2 a 1.. perché non posso mettere zero), ho fatto qualche test per verificare la portata del WiFi, rispetto al vecchio AP Flex, suo equivalente ma. A caldo, nel senso 10 minuti dopo averlo acceso.. e bene specificarlo visto le temperature che raggiunge, ANCHE senza ostacoli in mezzo, in linea d'aria a 3 m di distanza, le prestazioni WiFi sono "equivalenti", almeno come portata, al vecchio AP Flex.. inizialmente avevo notato un banda doppia, errore mio, avevo fatto un test troppo approssimativo, stavolta lì'ho testato piu a fondo in varie condizioni. Il vecchio AP Flex si è sempre dimostrato essere equivalente (in assenza di muri).. o essere decisamente superiore a questo nuovo AP, alla minima presenza di ostacoli e/o muri... dove qui la caduta di banda è "letale"... poi lo smartphone (un iPhone 13 mini).. una volta persa la connessione WiFi, ci mette un sacco di tempo a riagganciare il WiFi.. una volta eliminato l'ostacolo, mentre con l'AP Flex.. a seguito di caduta della linea, la riconnessione era pressochè immediata.

Amazing replaced my old UniFi AC mesh and it tripped my speeds. I can almost max out my internet speed with this on my iPhone and laptop. Went from about 250mbps to 800mbps

This just like everything else I bought from Ubiquiti are awful. No signal strength, connection is intermittent, customer service is non existent, speed is horrible.

It has a sleek design and a powerful performance, delivering fast and reliable Wi-Fi to your devices.One of the features that I like about this access point is the ubiquiti software, which lets you customize various options and configurations. You can adjust the channel width, the transmit power, the security settings, and more. You can also monitor the network status and performance, and see how many devices are connected and how much bandwidth they are using.The only downside that I have noticed is that this access point runs pretty hot.Overall, I am very satisfied with the Ubiquiti Networks U6-Mesh Access Point. It provides a nice connection to my devices, and it is easy to set up and manage. I would recommend it to anyone who needs a reliable and flexible wireless network solution.

Pros- Insanely fast. 500+ Mbps meshing 40' / 13 m away through 6 walls.- Supports POE and POE+.- POE injector included.- Functions seamlessly as AP or an Ethernet bridge for multiple computers.- Multiple mounting options included.- Stable.- Enterprise-y power user features.- Light can be turned off.- Can be used without cloud features.- Don't need a Cloud Key.- Centrally-manageable using their free, self-hosted software called UniFi Network for Debian and Ubuntu.- OOTBE pretty packaging.- Insanely-sensitive surveying.Cons- Not straightforward to setup. Too much documentation digging involved.- Runs hot.- They didn't provide a self-contained Docker image or VM appliance for management.- Not for grandma unless you don't wear a "No I Will Not Fix Your Computer" T-shirt.- Not WiFi 6e (I don't have any 6e devices).Note- Can't do an RF survey without disconnecting all clients. This is a limitation of physics.
