I could go to the hardware store and just buy sandpaper on my own. This comes in 3 grits 280, 320, 500. I am also a woodworker and buy sandpaper all the time. I didn't know I could just use soft pastels on it!

This was my first try with the sanded UArt. I used ultra soft pastel on black and it was amazing! So workable, so smooth, and easy to correct. Love it!

This package allows you to test various grades of sanded pastel paper, but you only get one each of several grades of small size paper. Be careful to read the description and be sure you really believe you can justify the expens.

Good product, SMALL samples. These should definitely come in full size. I'd give 5☆ for full size samples. It's hard to see if portrait detail would turn out well on these small pieces.

It's just not what I like for use with coloured pencils. I'm sure it would be great for pastel work....which of course is what it was actually made for.

First time using sanded paper and this pack is a great introduction to get one started with a lovely range of colours. Would definitely buy again.

I love the 400 and 600 for pastels. However, I find 6"x11"a rather odd shape to paint with! The 6x11 inch makes it too small to cut in half.So for that reason, I don't like it.I will buy the sheets at larger sizes

Beautiful stuff. I appreciate the opportunity to try out different grits of sanded paper. The size of the sheets is smaller than "standard" but that's not a disadvantage as a trial. I'll definitely be ordering lots more of this excellent paper. For me, I think the 400 and 500 grits will work best, until I get into more complex work (and until I can afford to use material faster!). By the way, you really need less material (pastels) with this than you do with some other pastel papers such as Canson Mi Tients or Strathmore - and there's less dust ! The pigment stays where you put it, but you can still blend nicely.

I'd never tried sanded paper with colored pencil until I read about another artist who likes this product. The sample set is super to try the different grits. So far I've just used one of the sheets and can't wait to try the others. I'm totally sold. Now I'll just need to figure out which one I prefer. It's like a new lease on creativity. Great way to try a new product.

I've been looking for a new source of sanded pastel paper since Wallis Sanded Paper is not unavailable anymore. I'm now a fan of UArt paper and so glad I purchased this collection because I wasn't sure which sand grit to use or even if any of the grits would work for me. UArt paper is as good as Wallis and maybe better because unlike Wallis, UArt has more grits to choose from.
