This did not work for my AC system even thought it was a perfect fit.After a few days, everytime the compressor came on, I would hear the AC system groaning. if you have the same vehicle as me, the correct part is something similar to ACDelco 15-5754.

I can’t figure out this variable orifice tube. I’ve tried charging the system to 26 oz and to 30 oz as a ford mechanic recommended and I get groaning and whining from the tube. I opened up the system and it was covered in more debris than the 5 year old tube it replaced less than a week before.It’s either causing my compressor to chew itself up from high head pressures, or my condenser has trash in it that comes loose from the high pressures at idle caused by the VOV. Either way, I’m going to have to say if you’re considering a VOV on an older system and you haven’t replaced every single component within the system, than skip it. Go with a fixed office tube and you’ll be much happier.

Shipping was fast. Packaging was good. Sadly was not the correct part for My Stang. 06, 4.6 liter v8. GT model. Mine was way shorter and a different design completely. Will save it for another project. Looks like the same as many GMC vehicles take. Gave it a since I know it will get used but not what I needed as listed.
