Since they don't make Schaedler rulers anymore, this is a good alternative for the graphic arts.

Arrived in two or three days, and was in good condition. I found it useful for not only identifying font size, but it has also helped with determining line spaces

I bought this to help line calligraphy paper accurately. Since the Schaedler Precision Ruler was so pricey I thought I would take a chance with this. It's not exactly like the Schaedler but close enough. It works well and helps me line paper pretty well with accuracy. The ruler is what I expected it to be and hope it will hold up for a long time.

I use this ruler for work measuring type sizes on food labels to make sure it meets FDA size requirements. I have used this ruler in the past and it is my favorite but it becomes brittle and breaks. This time it feels like it is made out of better more flexible material. I am hoping that means it will be more sturdy.

Using to measure print collateral in order to mock up in Adobe InDesign. Using for a class. Used one of the two rulers so far - the one with picas, points, and inches, and E's on it. Extremely helpful. The rules are opaque (frosted), wish they were clear though. But they still do the job.

It's useful but the point ruler only measure close to accurate from the highest point of the ascenders to the lowest point of the descenders, if the text you want to measure is in all caps, the point ruler won't work. Also, the printings on the ruler seems to be scraped off fairly easily.

I am grateful to all the people who wrote a review about this product so I bought this ruler. I thought the price was a little bit too much, but after having received the product I can tell you it is worth it! These rulers ARE transparent and seem to be good quality products. The package includes in effect two flexible and sturdy rulers with blue or black marks for the font size that indicate the measurement units you will need to perfect your GD roughs. I would definitively recommend it for Graphic Design students and the typography classes, but also to professional designers.

This product is everything I expected and the quality is sturdy. I do wish it listed the font used for the standard "E" sizes showcased just to have that information. Overall a very useful tool.
