I bought new, did not come in a box just in a bag. There was no drain and after a one time use I found a leak. I did purchase this item again through another company and was very happy with the item.

We bought a couple of these for my son's high school graduation party. Although they are inflatable, they are sturdy and do the job! We put ice in the bottom of these and placed things like cans of relish, dips, anything which we felt should be cooled off prior to and during serving. They worked great and when we were done we deflated them , rolled them up, and used them again when we had our own retirement parties! Whoever thought of these should win a medal! Since we bought these, several of the people who saw them at out parties also bought them. Can't go wrong with this item if you entertain at all!

First time trying a inflatable unit at a backyard event. What a hit. I was not only able to keep my pasta salads cold but also used one to keep sodas and water cold on ice. Very easy to set up and deflate and can be used over and over again. The best part was how long and wide this unit is which held many items. A MUST HAVE!

I first saw this product on another shopping site but because of my great experiences with Amazon I checked for it through them. I was pleased to see not only was it available but for less $. I ordered two of them. The delivery time and product were exceptional. I was on a tight time frame to receive this product due to the fact that my daughter was getting married in a couple of weeks. The inflatable salad bars were perfect for the outside reception (the temperature was over 100 degrees). The bridal party & guests were so impressed by the amount of food & ice each one held. The food stayed cold & pristine all the way through the day! I highly recommend this product for all festive occasions!

I purchased the inflatable salad bar knowing it was trendy and not knowing how long it would last. I used it a few times and like the idea that I had ice to keep my dishes cold while entertaining outside in August. Before I purchased the salad bar, I took a really good look at the photo. The size of the dishes are deceiving at first glance. If you take a look at the shrimp dish, the plate initially looks like a serving plate, but is more the size of a luncheon plate. The other plates, in reality, are more like bread plates. When fully inflated, an 18" dish will touch the sides of the salad bar. I could fit about three or four serving dishes side-to-side comfortably. Even though the size was deceiving, the salad bar still served my needs, was durable, easy to clean, and worth the price.

I bought this because a friend had one set up for beverages at an outdoor party and thought it was a great idea. I decided to try it out! I was worried about potential leaks, because several reviews had indicated that they experienced loss of air before and during use with similar products. So I inflated the buffet the day before, and let it sit empty on a table overnight. I checked in the morning and all was fine - no air loss.So I filled it with ice for my party. We used it to keep salads, fruit and condiments cold for a picnic. As it was very hot, the ice melted quickly but all the water stayed right inside the buffet - no leaks. The food was kept cold for at least 3 hours, without any worry, even with several mayonnaise-based salads. I would recommend you be careful not to make the ice too deep if you're using it for food containers, as it would be possible for water to get into the food if people knock the dishes around at all. But for closed beverages, not a problem at all.There were 2 disappointments about it:1) There is no drainage plug - which is fine if you're using it outside and can easily dump it out. But if you're using it inside the house, this could be problematic. It took 2 people to lift it off the table, move it over to the grass and flip the water out. It was sloshing around and a little dumped out, but again as long as you're outside, who cares, right?2) It does stain - we had a pasta salad being kept on ice that had hot sauce in it. Someone accidentally spilled some on the side of the cushion part, and by the time I realized and wiped it off, there was a permanent red stain. So if you are worried about stains, you may not want to get a white one.But as neither of the above items were deal breakers for me, I really liked this product. I don't expect it to last 10 years, but with proper care, I don't see why it wouldn't last at least a couple of summer seasons.

I purchased 2 of the salad bars, only 1 was usable asthe other had a leak in one of the seams and would notinflate. The usable one worked great. I will orderanother at this price. They will get lots of use atchurch functions.

When this arrived I couldn't believe how small the box was! Because I was familiar with my sister's inflatable buffet I realized that this one must be of subpar construction. I reread the description and realized that there's no drain! Fortunately I realized this before I took it out of the box because there's no way I could have gotten back into that teeny box! Do yourself a favor,spend a little extra and get a better product...that's what I did! Just wish I had did that to begin with...then I wouldn't have gotten stiffed on the shipping!
