This alignment protractor is mirror making it much easier to see the cartridge above it. This is especially important when the head shell is larger than the cartridge and blocks your view of the protractor from above. Extra bonus is that by using the mirror it makes it easy to verity that the stylist is perfectly vertical.

This does the job, no doubt about it, but the mirrored surface makes it difficult to see what your doing, especially in lower light situations.

This alignment tool works great and was easy for me to understand. The only knock I have, and it is very minor, is that it was a little difficult for me to read the numbers. I chalk most of that up to 61 year old eyes. The mirrored surface works well for really seeing the underside of the cartridge, making it easy to get things lined up just right. I would definitely recommend this tool to others.

...after I contacted Hudson Hi-Fi about the issue with the make of my turntable, they identified that my table has a slightly larger than standard spindle size. A few minutes with sandpaper taking off about half a millimeter from the inside of the hole and I was ready to align my cartridge. Worked great.

This was a nice, inexpensive tool to add to the turntable maintenance kit. I really liked the mirrored finish to aid alignment - they do sell opaque versions if you prefer that. The protractor was well designed and securely packaged to prevent damage.
