I had bought this for my husbands truck in 2022 after it had been stolen. Someone recently attempted to steal my car so I liked this lock so much decided to buy 1 for my car. Can be challenging to use but its worth it , come with 3 keys which is great.

Great product! Once you get used to putting it on and taking it off youâll love it. I own the top stolen trucks in America. Anything that slows a crook down will encourage them to move on to the next vehicle. Itâs very durable and will take a hot minute to break through. In my opinion itâs worth it (we all know alarms slow no one down). This will. Cheers

It's well made and very heavy. Do NOT force the lock and break off the key. Place the device on the brake and steering wheel and turn the key. If it doesn't turn, jiggle the shaft and it will turn. Pull out the key and NOW cinch up the shaft so it's tight enough. Do not make it super tight, it's not necessary and will put too much stress on the lock and key.

This works great on my 2015 Elantra, making it secure from theft, and hopefully future attempts. It locks and unlocks easily, just don't tighten it too tight or the lock will stick. It comes with extra keys.

Let me start off sharing this is a very sturdy product. I feel that my SUV is safer as it can be. But a criminal will take your car no matter what. The job of this lock is to make them leave because it will take too much time. The key issue for me is the key. The location is low. It is very difficult to get the key into the special curved whole. It takes me about 2 minutes to get it on. This is an issue. It is hard to get the key in at night. I have to use my cell phone light. It is really a hassle BUT once it is on it is very sturdy.I hope with practice it will become easier to place on the pedal and steering wheel.

UPDATE: So, my car unfortunately was a target of a tik tok trend. The car is fixed, but I started using this again to provide myself with some peace of mind. I have some tips:- I previously had an issue with locking the bar.**When using: turn the key to unlock the bar, and LEAVE THE KEY IN THAT POSITION.1. hook the bar to either your gas or brake pedal. I now use my brake pedal, since the gear can't be shifted without pressing down on the brake.2. Once everything's in place, turn the key and pull it out of the bar. The bar is now locked.3. if the bar still feels a little loose, you can pull the two ends together until you hear a "click". Now the bar is locked solid.I'm glad I had this sitting around, and it's been great using it now that I've learned those tricks.A bit of backstory: I had originally bought a similar looking item off of Amazon, which worked well until the key unfortunately broke off in the lock. I needed a new one soon, and that one didn't even have a shipping date yet. I found this one, which looked nearly identical and could get to me in a day or two. The reviews looked pretty good, most common being that the key broke off in the lock. It arrived minutes before I needed it (it's getting darker earlier here) and so I immediately unpacked it and took it to my car to use it. Some pros and cons:Pros:1. it extended better than the previous one I used. The old one seemed a little iffy when it came to it fitting over my steering wheel. I attached both to my gas pedal instead of the brake pedal.2. Once it locked, it was LOCKED. The previous product still had a little give once it was locked, although it also wasn't going anywhere. This one didn't budge one bit. Solid.3. The bar itself was pretty comparable to the other one in terms of sturdiness. Maybe this one was a little lighter in weight, but that's about it.Now to the cons, and the reason for the review:I had extreme difficulty with locking the bar. I unlocked the bar no problem. It extended so that I could latch it to my gas pedal and my steering wheel. But when I tried to tighten the bar to secure it, or turn the key to lock it, the key didn't work! I tried turning it both ways, I had to unlatch everything and figure out if I was turning the key wrong? I wasn't, the bar just wouldn't lock. It allowed me to freely extend and close it no matter the key's position. It took quite a while to get it right, and as I wanted to be discreet and quick, this was less than ideal. I also wanted to be careful, because I didn't want the key to break off in the lock, and it'd feel a little flimsy everytime I tried to pull it out. I'm not sure what I did, but I eventually got the bar to lock and the key just popped right out. I probably won't use this one again if I don't have to, but I do think it could be useful for self defense or something!

Putting things in to perspective a steering lock is not going to stop a determined thief from pinching your vehicle. No steering lock on the market will do that. What a steering lock will do is deter an opportunist thief and also stop any third party (house mate, son/daughter, partner, sibling etc.) from âborrowingâ your vehicle without your permission and the Turnart steering lock is ideal for this purpose. All things considered the build quality of the Turnart steering lock is very good. It is strong, it is very well made and it has some weight to it. The lock and locking mechanism is well engineered and tight, and there is no excess movement in the barrel when the key is inserted. The internal spring (which enables the lock to be adjustable) is strong and moves nice and freely without being loose. There are multiple ways of fitting the Turnart steering lock which makes it useful for all vehicles, however it canât be fitted all ways in all vehicles. For example:-In my small hatchback the Turnart steering lock is best located clamped to the brake pedal and the steering wheel. It will easily fit across the steering wheel, however there is some movement, even when the lock is fully collapsed (approx. 15cm).In my van the Turnart steering lock is too short to fit to the brake pedal and the steering wheel, even when fully extended (approx. 83cm). The distance between the pedal and the bottom of the steering wheel is that little bit too much. This is not a problem though because the steering wheel in the van is large and the Turnart steering lock fits nice and snug on it.If you drive a mid-sized car I reckon youâll be able to mount the Turnart steering lock either across the steering wheel or attached to the brake pedal and the steering wheel. I canât of course confirm this, but based on my experience I think itâll work. Regardless of my reckonings you will be able to use the Turnart steering lock one way or another. However you fit the Turnart steering lock it is quick, easy and painless operation. It is an absolute doodle and youâll have no problems at all.Overall and all things considered the Turnart steering lock is a great lock. It may not be as well known as other brands of steering lock but it is equally as good and a fraction of the price too.

Klare Kaufempfehlung!
