My Son in law, wanted and needed a grinder. He loves it and thw best part for him was the peddle to run it.

I bought this for making hamburger out of deer meat. The reviews bragged it up how great it was. I bought it on 11/2020. We would grind approximately 40 lbs of meat once a year. We followed the directions of grinding only a few minutes then shutting it off to let it cool down. We noticed right out of the box it was super loud. You could hear it all over the house. So loud it would hurt our ears. On 12/2022 started grinding some meat. All it once it made an horrendous screeching noise and seized up. I took the cover off and found the plastic gears box had a huge crack in it and it had sent plastic shards into the plastic gears. Since I had a year left on the warranty I contacted the company. Right away they claimed it wasn't for grinding deer meat? Really? The description said meat grinder. It didn't say not for grinding deer meat. They said if I would pay shipping and handling back they would fix it. Shipping and handling would have cost almost as much as I paid for the grinder. I tossed it in the trash. It doesn't pay to go cheap on a meat grinder. Buy a commercial one with stainless steel everything. This grinder is for already ground meat and running it through to make sausage. Even then it will most likely overheat. If I could give it 0 stars I would. Cheap Chinese junk!

This is the first meat grinder I've ever had. I did a lot of research before I got it, and I honestly wasn't expecting it to work as well as it does. I read so much about how the smaller personal-use meat grinders can't do a lot, are slow, are cheaply made, etc. That has not been the case.I've mainly ground poultry, but I've also ground other meats and seafood. The parts that get messy are easily removable and cleaned. Just make sure you hand dry them all soon as you are done to avoid some of them having a tarnished look. Also, I recommend getting the pedal (if you don't already have a universal one from another appliance or tool). It makes the process so much easier.

I bought this grinder to make dog/cat food. I do not use this to grind bones since this model is covered by the warranty to grind bones, so I can’t comment on this unit’s ability to grind bones. I use this unit for about 1 hour (in 50 ounce increments) every 2 weeks and it munches through chicken, fish, pork like a champ. It’s been more than a few months since I’ve had this grinder and I’m very happy with the purchase. There has been no discoloration of the pieces since I dry them after I hand wash, as recommended. Also, I don’t think the unit is overly loud, but I don’t have any other grinders to compare this unit to as of now.Pros:-easy to use-clean up is very easy-plenty of power to munch through 9+ pounds in one sessionCons:-Nothing yet!

I got it to make ground pork. It did a great job on it, quickly and without even working hard. This machine can go faster than I can and it is happy doing it, no struggle at all. You are always tempted to think you need to spend more, buy a commercial unit, buy the biggest unit. I'm glad I didn't spend $30 or $300 on this. By the time I did 2 pork loins and a Boston Butt, I was tired of cutting meat into strips. But you can just cut the meat into strips and not cube it which saved me a lot of effort. I recommend you get a good chef's knife and knife sharpener or whetstone instead of a $300 model. In the end, a very sharp knife is very important. You will spend the bulk of your time cutting the meat into strips, the grinding goes quick after the meat sliced and chilled. This is a nice, well made unit. It may not last forever, nothing ever does, but I think its a good solid product for its price point. I expect to be able to feel like I got my money's worth before it retires itself. I was glad we chose this brand after seeing the motor was powerful enough and it was easy to clean and assemble as well. Here are some items that made this job a joy last night:https://www.amazon.com/Kota-Japan-Whetstone-Sharpening-EFFORTLESS/dp/B079RB1X2N/ref=sr_1_8?dchild=1&qid=1589106318&sr=8-8&srs=20517664011&th=1 (although the Hessler's won't need this for a year or two probably)https://www.amazon.com/Hessler-Surgical-Stainless-Steel-Cutlery/dp/B017AHK370/ref=sr_1_1?crid=LKKIKY0WWR4R&dchild=1&keywords=hessler+knives&qid=1589106465&sprefix=hessler%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-1https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00004OCLS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Tot-Bottle-Nipple-Cleaner/dp/B0771FFWQ2?ref_=s9_apbd_otopr_hd_bw_bBHn6B&pf_rd_r=P60KR3DA94YVA7X4F048&pf_rd_p=1e37e747-e13d-59d1-8149-ad16826240a2&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-10&pf_rd_t=BROWSE&pf_rd_i=166780011These things are more important to have to do a good job than a huge, super expensive commercial unit. Those brushes made the unit easy to clean and you will be cleaning it often between grinds. Cleaning often is important. Being able to get the meat ready to grind is important. Be prepared and have the right stuff and its a lot easier and more fun.

This is my first meat grinder and honestly it worked pretty well, you definitely didn’t want to force too much deer fat in with your meat or it would struggle. But it was easy to clean, assemble, it processed my meat, and nothing broke so I’m happy!
