I bought this to repair the tailstock MT2 socket on my chinese minilathe. The MT2 socket had some scratches from swarf and my MT2 drill chuck would not engage in there properly.The reamer looks to me to be very well made...nice and bright...extremely sharp... no chips in the cutting surfaces (or anywhere else).This reamer made short work of those scratches in the MT2 socket after using some cutting oil and a hand tapping holder. I simply flipped the tailstock up so that the MT2 socket was facing upward...few drops of oil...and spun the reamer and holder under its own weight by hand.The drill chuck engages properly now and does not spin intermittently. My MT2 dead center fit is outstanding and will compress air behind it. My MT2 live center fits outstandingly well.Keep in mind that this is a finishing reamer and meant to finish off a socket that has already been created. It worked exceedingly well for me.
