The TTartisan 35mm f1.4 manual focus lens is compact and lightweight, making it ideal for street and architectural photography.I personally find the aesthetic produced by this lens very pleasing. The images it captures evoke a sense of nostalgia, reminiscent of those taken with high-quality, classic SLR prime lenses of the 1970s and 1980s.There's a certain character to the photo images this lens is capable of, a unique blend of sharpness and softness, along with subtle color rendition and contrast that distinguishes them from those taken with modern lenses. It's as if the lens adds a touch of vintage charm, a timeless quality that makes the photos feel both classic and contemporary. Its excellent optics and affordable price make it a standout choice.

Love this lens! It is super sturdy, and easy to use. It isn’t autofocus but I like having to manually focus on what I need. Pictures come out exactly what I want. This is my go to lens.

I recently bought a Fuji X-E2 and bought this to try street photography. (I also bought 25/f2 from TTartisans.) So far the optics are very good as is the build quality. The aperture ring is smooth but the detents are almost non existent. I'd prefer if they were a little more distinctive. The focus ring is also quite smooth but I fear it might be easy to accidentally move out of focus. Over all I'm quite happy and for the price it's more solid than I expected. The UV lens and lens hood are of good quality and saved me from purchasing later.

I picked this lens up to use as I waited for my back ordered lens to show up. I am blown away with the quality. It’s not too heavy, it’s so sharp, and the ease of use is fantastic. It’s manual but because the focus ring is so smooth, using it to find focus is so simple. I pick this lens over my fast auto focus lens now. The bokeh is stunning and the images it helps produce look like a dream. I’m so happy with it. I may do a Youtube video review of it I’m so impressed.

I have a fuji xs10 and got the 18-55mm f2.8-4 lens and I really liked it, but it was also too sharp? I used to shoot a Sony DSLR with a 50mm and it got some really nice "vintage" style photos. Modern lenses are sometime clinically sharp and boring? This lens, assuming you are okay with manual focus, is a really great blend and value. f1.4 is okay but more old vintage feel and has noticeable vignetting. f2 is a mix of vintage and modern. f2.8 is modern sharpness. The 35mm translates to a nice 53mm focal length on a crop sensor. I love the color rendition on this lens and it feels solid. It's bringing some more excitement into taking photos. Definitely try this lens out, you won't regret it, those f0.95 lens are not necessary because you can't even get a good image until f1.4 anyway.

I'm gonna keep it super brief. Typically they say you get what you pay for. And let's be real, this lens won't break the bank. With that said: this lens is BEAST. So what are you waiting for?? Click on that "add to cart" and buy it asap, and enjoy. Ok cool. Have a nice day. Oh, and I'm using this lens with the Fujifilm X-H2s, and shoot video primarily. My test shots were amazing.

Pros: the price is wonderful, great bokeh, beautiful depth of field, sharp when smaller aperature, was able to capture artsy images straight out of the camera when shooting wide open at 1.4Cons: really relying on guessing things are in focus on the tiny LCD screen. Tough to focus quickly on moving subjects like pets and kids. Anxiety inducing really, because I don't know until I zoom all the way in what was picked up for focus. Also the lens cap is heavy metal that delicately screws in and makes an unpleasant sound and is time consuming. With the uv filter on you cannot attached the hood.Overall I would highly recommend this lens. I simply don't have the money to invest in another lens for my fuji xs-10. I love shooting with a shallow depth of field. I wasn't sure I'd keep this because I get anxious and bummed when I load my pics and see that they weren't focused where I wanted. But I found that slight challenge was worth it. It's my new walking around lens and I will get better at guessing on the small LCD where the focus is.

I ordered this because of my positive experience with the TTArtisan 17mm f/1.4 that I recently purchased. I already have the excellent Fujifilm 16mm f/1.4, so I was not expecting a great lens at 1/8th the price, but it's pretty good. So that led me to this lens, again not to replace the terrific Fujifilm 35mm f/1.4 in my arsenal, just to play with for fun. This lens is tiny, smaller than the 17mm, but the exterior cosmetics are the same. After getting good at focusing the 17mm over the last few weeks, this 35mm is easy because the image in the finder is larger and there is a bit less DOF, so it is very apparent when focus is reached. The magnified image in my Fuji cameras really helps, so manual focus is a viable way to work for general photography. The lens is more than usable at f/1.4, it's very good as long as you pick your subjects for that level of selective focus. On paper, the corners aren't sharp at the widest apertures, but the lower level of sharpness would fall in the out of focus area anyway, so it shouldn't be a problem with real subjects in a 3 dimensional environment. Who shoots brick walls at f/1.4?These low cost Chinese lenses with such good performance are something that was unthinkable years ago. But they are here and they work very well.Regarding the supplied accessory hood, this is a quality item (not offered from other sellers), that renders the screw in cap unusable. You could just keep unscrewing and changing out the hood/cap as needed. Having lots of lenses sitting around, I found that a snap on 52mm cap (mine came off of an old Nikkor) fits the front of the hood perfectly and allows the hood to remain permanently attached.
