We purchased this from Costco in April 2010. Though this item was more than we had anticipated spending we liked that it was a "heavy duty" construction and justified the purchase as it would span a number of years with such a generous weight capacity etc. (we have three small children). Our kids have LOVED playing on this teeter totter - however it has been terrible in terms of standing up to very moderate weather. A mere few months after assembling the seats started to split and mould - not what I would expect from an item of this expense that is advertised as being "durable".

Bought this at Academy May 2010, three months later the seat covers are already splitting. You also have to be extra careful when assembling. The main bolt that holds the seats to the frame in the center has a tendency to loosen. The instructions say not to get that bolt too tight but if you don't it loosens with every swing back and forth and will eventually come off. This being said, the kids love it.

WORTH EVERY PENNY!!! I don't think there has been a day gone by when my kids (and even me;0) haven't been on this tetter totter! My varsity football player son can get on one side - while myself and my two little ones get on the other- and Yes, the seat is that big too! It is definately heavy duty! It is incredibly balanced. Smooth! You can't go wrong here. This is NOT a typical plastic small toddler see saw - this is what I would consider a commercial - heavy metal - padded seat - adult and kid sized tetter totter that is awesome!!! It isn't for a corner in a play room - it took up my living room floor (since it was raining when Santa came) and took some fancy work to get it outside once it was put together. By the way- all you adults looking for your kids a toy - "you can't help but get on a tetter totter and laugh" quote from my teenage son as he urged me to see saw with him one day when the little ones were not home - and HE WAS RIGHT!! Invest in it and have fun!!!

My parents bought the Gym Dandy as a combined birthday gift for my 3 and soon-to-be 5 year old girls. We have had it for just over a month. Both the girls are active and above average for height and weight. After much research this was the piece of equipment we selected based upon many positive reviews and we have not been disappointed. When the large package arrived, my husband (who is quite handy) was very impressed with the quality of the frame and components. It took about an hour to construct but needed both of us to lift it out and put in it's poition in the yard (might have been easier to construct there in the first place)As several others have noted, the seats are long enough for two children . We christened the Gym-Dandy during a play date with two other six year olds and my own children. It worked out great. At first we had it situated on the deck, but we noticed it began to 'move' with the enthusastic play so we moved it onto the grass. A much safer option. The kids are really enjoying the Gym-Dandy and I have peace of mind while they are on it.A really good buy in my opinion.

My Kids love this!!! I bought it for my 4 year old and I think my 13 and 11 year olds like it just as much. The neighborhood kids like coming over and riding it. It seems to be holding up great to the non stop beating it has endured since it arrived!!!! Definitely worth the price.

My children love this teeter totter! I have four children from ages 2-13 and all can play on this. We have ours outside beside the swingset. It is a very smooth motion and seems to be built well. It did not take but an hour to put together and it was ready to be used. I have heard the seats will fade after time outdoors, but that is okay. It will get lots of use! I love the pendulum effect, which prevents pinched fingers like so many others. Up to 4 children can ride at one time, due to the longer seats. Very sturdy! Worth the money!

My 3 year old and 6 year old really enjoy themselves on this. We even had a party and their older cousins had a lot of fun on it too. My husband put it together and he said it's good quality. The problem that I have with this item is that it is not packaged very well and the pieces get banged up and dented and chipped during shipping and a piece was sticking out of the box when it arrived. The parts are too heavy for the kind of box it comes in. Also, we've only had it for 1 month and it's chipped/scraped already which will eventually rust. I have a feeling one of the kids did this and not due to the weather. Overall, I would recommend the gym dandy.

We got this for our 3 1/2 year old son and our 1 year old daughter for Hanukkah this year. We knew our son would love it but our daughter was thrilled with it too - she couldn't wait to get on it. I think it's the fun colors and movement. There's plenty of room for 2 to sit on each side and the movement is very smooth. We didn't give it 5 stars because my husband was disappointed that the locking mechanism didn't actually lock it completely from rocking - it just can't go the full distance. Overall, a very nice product and it doesn't take up much footspace outside too!
