Nice upgrade for traditional rifle sights

these are as good as you can get without going the Tritium route. These mange to funnel the available light into a crisp clear sight profile. For rifles with lousy buckhorn gold bead nonsense these will improve your odds of a solid shot by 100%. these fit my Henry, Rossi, Marlin and my Dad's Pedersol and Cimmaron. They are not meant to be moved around but I mention this so if your are worried about fit, don't.

Typical TruGlo product with good quality especially for the price. This set doesn't come with the red or green front sight selection but TruGlo does have a set that does. Quality is good, metal not plastic bases, easy enough to install. The front sight could be a little brighter in the sun light.

The TruGlo designed for the Ithaca Deer Slayer is discontinued. While looking for a replacement rear sight for a Turkey Slayer that used TruGlo, I found and bought an exact match for a NOS Winchester 1300 slug gun. However it used red fiber optics instead of green which made seeing the front read sight quickly…impossible. While looking for an alternative, I found this with the same size dovetail. It fit perfectly and has almost the same exact sight height as well.

I can't honestly give a full full review of this product because it isn't made for the H001 rifle with the round barrel and that's what I have. I can only wish that Truglo would make the fitment more clear. For those that have an H001 rifle with a round barrel, the front sight post is NOT removable. You're stuck with the black post. The only way to replace it would be to replace the whole front barrel band that the sight post is on. I'm sure someone might make that product, but this is not it.The rear sight is removable, but this product is designed for the octagonal barrel, so the fitment is awkward. It works, but it doesn't sit flush.I bought this product about 2 years ago and forgot to install it. Then I broke the rear sight, so I tried installing it and those are my findings. I'll keep the Truglo rear sight on it for now as it's my only option. These Truglo sights are admittedly quite bright.Be very careful during installation. I don't know what kind of metal Henry uses to make these rifles but it's incredibly soft. The finish scratches easily, the metal parts inside the action can easily deform, and worst of all the screws are very very small, soft, and require a large amount of torque to unscrew. This means it's very easy to strip screws. I wish Henry would make them larger or harder, or Truglo should include replacement screws with this in case you lose or strip the existing ones.

Much better & brighter than the stock sight. It should be much easier to see during low light. Relatively easy to install on a Winchester Model 94AE 357 and can be done at home. Cost was reasonable compared to other aftermarket sights. I recommend purchasing this sight.Updated 9Feb21: I dropped this down to 4 stars. I still think this sight is significantly easier to see than the stock sights. But, I dropped it to 4 stars because it was not plug and play w/my rifle. W/the rear sight all the way down, my rifle is still shooting very high. This set comes w/a .450" front sight. I've since ordered a .530" front sight to hopefully lower the placement of my shots enough to zero my rifle w/this set sight. Since it's not clear which front sight size is needed for every rifle combination, it makes getting these sights set up a bit of a guessing game.

The front sight is very good. It is made by Marbles Arms and is style number 45MR. It is steel and CNC made. The rear sight is very poor quality. It is made of aluminum and plastic. I do not know who made this part. The plastic part never saw a CNC and the dovetail looked like a flint knapped arrowhead. The dove tail should be smooth and strong to allow for windage adjustments. This damage to the sight had to be done at the manufacture. I removed the windage screw and slid the plastic sight out. It appeared like the dovetail was forced into the aluminum dovetail when the plastic was warm. Because large pieces of the dovetail was missing I doubt any windage adjustment would hold for long. I returned my order as defective. Marble Arms should be upset that their parts are getting repackaged with low quality products.

I was hesitant on buying this, because of all the negative reviews. I bought anyway to see for myself, & took a chance. When I went to install the sights the both went in w/no problems (I've yet to shoot to see if the front post is setting too high to sight in from a review I read). For the front post I used a flat head screw driver & put a towel over my gun so it wouldn't damage it (That's just common sense to do), & I used a small hammer tapped lightly checking frequently to make sure the front sight is going in correctly. I haven't got to shoot to sight in, & until then that one review of the person having trouble w/the front sight setting to high to adjust correctly is the last worry I have until I actually get to shoot it to see for myself. Honestly, I believe it'll be fine.. I love the upgraded fiber optic sights now on my 30-30 Marlin lever action, & it's a must if you hunt w/open sights in thick woods when light gets low!
