I saw this at a friend's house and knew that it was a must for me. The instruction indicate a large flat bowl and I certainly agree. The tool is great and does a much better job than just chopping and more quickly--BUT- again, the bowl is needed!

The chop salad tong is a great concept but not practical at least for me. Not as easy to use as advertised. The produce being chopped needs to small in size.

This tool is so versatile! Instead of chopping and dicing on a cutting board, just throw everything into a bowl and go at it in 1/2 the time! So easy. Great for chopping big food items for babies and small kids!

These chopper tongs are perfect for transforming large coleslaw type salads into a size that's far easier to chew. A great asset for anyone who finds smaller sized salad pieces much easier to manage.I particularly like that fact that the curved base of the scissors means I can chop my serve of salad in my own bowl.The chopping tongs are easy to wash too.

This tongs are great for making salads and even for chopping other items like ham, cooked chicken or cheese. I had a pair of chopping tongs (a different make however) that broke, handle cracked, after years of use and I really missed not having a pair in my kitchen. These tongs are a more light weight and do not look quite as sturdy with being plastic than the previous one I had but hope they also will serve us a long time. The blades are very sharp and the spring handle mechanism is easy to use. There is a latch to hold the tongs closed for storage but it's also made of plastic rather than metal so not sure how much endurance it will have if knocked about. The tongs came packaged attached to a piece of cardboard with the cutting blades covered in a clam shell material which surprisingly was easy to remove when the plastic ties that attached the handles were clipped which sometimes can be the hardest part to do. This cutting tongs I found to be on the expensive side especially being handles of plastic but still an nice tool to have in the kitchen.

I was skeptical about the durability and efficiency of these tongs but they really are great! Making salads, big or small, is so fast. The dual slicing blade is a bonus because they make short work of larger pieces like cucumbers and carrots. If you are looking for a chopped salad tool or something that allows you to make a small single salad right in the bowl, then I recommend the Toss and Chop Tongs.
