Thankfully haven't had to use it yet. The build quality appears very good, and the carabineers are nice and solid. The stitching on the webbing looks good and durable.

Product works well, but after a couple months of use the coupling that connects to the quick connect came apart in use. This is a huge safety concern and lucky it happened without a fall. The coupling looks like a press fitting as there are no threads or hole for a cotter pin.

Just like the seatbelt in your car, this retractable fall arrestor can save your life. If the device detects a quick jerk on the lanyard (you possibly falling) it immediately locks up and prevents you from falling. Its one of those safety devices that gives you peace of mind.This arrestor is super well built and strong. The unit is quite heavy and the lanyard, self-locking snap lock and carabiner are all heavy duty. When you hold it in your hand, you can see and feel the quality and how beefy the components are.

This fall protection lanyard is designed to attach to a fall harness, not to a belt or clothing directly - so be sure you also have a fall harness, to avoid severe injuries in the case of a fall. This lanyard is clearly quite heavy-duty and sturdy, lending confidence when my husband is up on the roof. It's shocking how many professional crews get on roofs without these, when they're so affordable and they save lives.
