Trombone ADAPTER for SMALL SHANK and LARGE SHANK Mouthpiece
There are two standard types of trombone mouthpieces – a thick and thin leg. They are not interchangeable, that’s why the instruments, aimed at using mouthpieces with thick legs, require mouthpieces only with thick legs, and no others.
However, with this adapter, it’s possible to use the mouthpiece with a thin leg on the trombone that requires a mouthpiece with a thick leg. This function makes the adapter an all-purpose tool for musicians.

This adapter allows me to use a 8 cup block mouthpiece with my wife boar euphonium. It fits nicely into the euphonium.

I have been looking for a large to small shank adapter for my B. Euphonium to no luck. This works perfectly for small to large but not vice versa.

Whoever came up with this idea is a genius. My son plays trumpet but was gifted a Euphonium. He was also gifted a great mouthpiece but it didn't fit in his large bore. This adapter works perfectly.

Another outstanding product from KGU. There's such a reliable consistency with their products that you don't find very often. This adapter is the perfect fit for a large shank instrument and makes it easier to double if you have a preference for a small shank mouthpiece. The sound and playability aren't affected in any negative way. Most importantly, the price is perfect for the quality!

The trombone adapter, designed to fit a small bore mouthpiece into a large bore trombone, suited my Conn 88H 1969 shank receiver perfectly. I was prepared to return it, holding onto the bag and everything, but after checking the tuning, I found it to be satisfactory.

Works just as shown, I have not ran into any serious tuning issues ( the most you would have to do is just tweak the tuning slide a little). Nice fit, Great utility!!
