Cool toy. If you have a smart cat. You'll definitely need to practice with them and show them how to use it- it really is rocket science for their little brains.

I purchased 1 unit for the babies to share and they are learning fast and are able to get to most of the treats. They only haven't pulled the string to pull that area out

This is definitely an "advanced" puzzle. My cat has burned through several different puzzle feeders, but this was the hardest yet. The pull and push drawer mechanisms are tough to figure out and kept her occupied. My main critique is the holes are really hard for cat paws to get kibble out. Also the kibble gets stuck in the grooves along the side of the holes, then I have to try and crush them inside the walls and shake them out.

If you have an intelligent cat who is bored with all of his or her current toys, this is a must. This toy requires the cat to think about multiple ways to get at the treats, but it is not too difficult that it causes frustration. It is made of heavy duty plastic that is easy to disassemble and hand wash. And no batteries required. It is as entertaining for the human onlookers as it is for the kitties.

I had fun setting it up for my cats and they enjoyed very much solving it. They got it fairly easily but there are different combinations that you can try and play around with and they seem very curious and intrigued while playing with it.If you're babies are food-driven and curious this will be a hit for sure.I would definitely recommend it!

Most interactive feeders are too simple for my cat, he gets all the treats in seconds. This one is designed sturdy, pretty, and gave him a challenge. The only thing about this that isn't good for me is that the kibbles I have are very small, and they get stuck in the grooves that the compartments slide along. These are probably the smallest kibbles there are, so if yours are more average sized it shouldn't be a problem.

Mijn kat is er dol op en na paar weken had ze alles door. Heerlijk om naar te kijken, hoe ze alles schruift.

It's fun to sit down with my cats and help them figure this out, but the design isn't great. The little cups are hard for my bigger cat to get the treats out of, because his paws are too big and his big wide head won't allow him to get his mouth close enough to the lower level to lick up the treat. I have to take it out and give it to him. My smaller (more average sized) cat can get the treats out, but he usually flicks them out with his paw and sometimes they get jammed under the edges along the "runners" where the little blocks slide. The slider that moves out by pushing the lever is very stiff and even I have trouble getting it to shoot all the way out so that both cups are revealed. All that aside, though, it's a cute toy and my cats are slowly learning how to get at the treats. They just need some help to make it non-frustrating. It's sturdy and so far neither cat has figured out that they can overturn it to shake the treats out. It's also easy to clean.

Overall a great puzzle board but it would be even better if the two ball shaped caps would have a thin rope between the top of the cap and the board. My cats plays with the removed ball caps and they get lost.

My RagDoll/Siamese kitty, Ashley is very active, playful and will entertain herself with almost anything (especially things she knows will get my attention!). I work 12 hour shifts, I needed to find some "good kitty" things that she would like and actually keep her entertained. This toy/game fascinated me because she is extremely smart/clever and shows a propensity for thoughtful interaction. To cut to the chase, this toy has been a wonderful addition to her assortment. I followed the advice in the directions and taught her with small steps - gradually increasing the level of difficulty needed to acquire the treat. After 2 weeks of daily practice, I was able to close all the compartments completely as she had mastered them all! I like that it has thumb screws on the sides which allow you to remove the 4 compartments by sliding them. This feature serves 2 purposes 1) easier cleaning and 2) enables you to change up the placement to increase or decrease the level of difficulty. A tip from me is: whatever treat you pick to use, use it only for this game- that will increase your cat's desire to get it. Each compartment has a small hole on top so the aroma of the treat will not go unnoticed. The only thing I dislike is the one I got says "Dog Activity" on the top of the toy itself even though the picture on the box it came in has a picture of one saying "Cat Activity". A minor annoyance for a game which otherwise has brought much enjoyment and another positive outlet for Ashley to entertain herself. CAUTION: Save your money if you do not have the patience, desire or time to actually work with your cat to train it. It is not hard to do, but it does require some thoughtful technique on your part. Follow the advice on the directions and you will be amazed at how intelligent/clever your fur baby is! 🐱

I am the mother of two 8 y/o kitties; one whom I've had for 7 years and one I've had for 1 year. I bought this activity to stimulate my kitties on occasion as they're not much for toys (except when I put catnip in a sock and tie it up), they're not super active, but it seemed my female (longest adopted) was bored as she was more 'lazy' or lethargic than usual (I've had her to the vet and she's healthy otherwise). My male (most recently adopted) is very food motivated and has a tendency to pick on/rival my sweet girl so I thought this would entertain him in other ways to keep him away from her and keep him from scarfing his treats.Overall I think the product is good and at the same time I feel it's a bit more complicated (pulling the rope and pushing the lever are too difficult for my kitties). I appreciate the thorough instructions on how to make this the most for my kitties and at the same time, Looking at the 5-in-1 activity board seems more doable and like it will fit into our lifestyle better. This particular toy I'm reviewing is a bit too complicated and time consuming to make the most of all of the puzzle pieces. My female couldn't stay interested long enough to learn to use it to it's fullest and my male will work on that thing until he gets every last snack out... hence the "hit and miss."I think I'll be returning it as it's not providing us the value I would hope for the money I spent, based on my individual kitties' experience with it as there's nothing physically wrong with the toy that I've found. I will instead purchase the 5-in-1 activity board to see if that's a bigger hit. May need two since my male likes to hog all things.
