I’m a petite Asian female and my head measures 56cm (right between medium and large), I got a medium. First try it felt tight and seemed like a lot of pressure on my forehead, but after wearing it for about half an hour while skateboarding I didn’t feel uncomfortable at all. I think it fits just right. I got a large as well which I returned because it looks a lot bigger but feels the same on the head tightness wise (but heavier).I’m a casual beginner skateboarder so I think the amount of protection is sufficient for me. Most certified helmets are spaceballs like so I probably would just not wear it every time out of self-awareness but this one is light and looks pretty nice so I plan to wear it when every time I go skateboarding.Cons: you can’t wear high pony tail with this helmet. If it’s very low it’s possible.

I ordered this for my 5 year old’s birthday as he is just getting into skating. The helmet itself is great, comfortable, and well made. It’s a little deep for a small child though and it bends his ears down or they have to be tucked into the padding. He does have a rather small head though. It fits my 8 year old great, even a little snug on him. Would order again.

I have recently got back into skateboarding and was looking for a helmet. I couldn’t find any good helmets on amazon, I found this one not expecting much. It arrived fairly quick. I tried it on and was overwhelmed with comfort and nice snug fit. I took it for a ride and it kept my head very ventilated and cool on my head. I would recommend this helmet from beginner to expert. Well worth the money.

This is the best fitting helmet we've ever tried. We've always just bought what was available at Walmart on the shelf and those helmets were always so hard and loose fitting that they just didn't seem very safe. The Triple Eight has a thick, soft, form fitting padding that molds to the shape of the head and fits perfectly to any shape of head...and works awesome. The kids love the way it feels because it's so soft and stays in place while the kids play. I have three kids and each one loves it. They use these helmets while riding their Stunt Scooters at the Skate Park, while riding their Pocket Mods and Electric Ripsticks on the street. It's so comfortable that they enjoy wearing them and I never have to ask twice. The best part is that it stays on straight since it fits so well. Will never buy a different helmet again.

Why 5 Stars: Comfortable; Fits Snug; Light Weight; Looks greatThe Triple Eight is a great helmet. Ordered this to wear while skateboarding. Once on, it's like I don't even know it's there. I wear Rayband eyeglasses and they have thick ear frames, yet they fit right in with the helmet on and are comfortable. They lining they use is what makes the difference.I would highly recommend this helmet.

NOTE: If you have a moderately large head, this helmet will NOT fit you. It fits snugly even on a person with a medium-small head. This review is written with that in mind. Please beware when buying this, that if you have a somewhat larger head, this may not be the helmet for you.This helmet feels safe and secure, and my head feels protected and comfortable. I use it as a biking helmet even though it's of a design mor geared toward skaters. I think biking helmets look dorky, so I went with this. The outside is a soft-touch rubber/silicon feeling material that is really nice and fun to touch. I'm very happy with my purchase. It feels solid and secure.

LOVE THIS! My son got a balance bike from Santa this year, and received this awesome helmet (and the Strider knee/elbow pad set) to go along with it. It is SUPER comfy (he actually asks for it, WOW!), and fits him like a glove! We purchased a Small for our son. He is a VERY large (over 100% in height), and nearly three (in March). His head measures about 21" around.I realize this isn't intended for balance-bike riding; however, I believe it will be well suited for the job. Our son rides in a safe circle-type drive, and soon will be riding at a dirt bike park, so no real chance of collisions with cars etc.. His uncle uses this very helmet for long boarding with great success.
