The three dot green tritium night sight set's front sight features a taller blade and an aiming point ringed in photo luminescent paint while the rear sight is outlined in black and features a wider U-shaped notch. This unique configuration increases visibility and quickens front sight acquisition-even in transitional lighting. Additionally, the front surface of the rear sight is steeply hooked to assist in emergency one-handed slide operation.

The sights were an awesome upgrade from the stock sights. They preform really well in low light conditions, as well as can be used in the sunlight. With the front sight having the bright orange circle on it. Give the gun a nice streamlined look to it as well.Key points:— the rear sights are taller than the stock ones, but I have not had any issues drawing and bolstering for an Every day carry. “ BUT THIS COULD BE DIFFERENT FOR THE TYPE OF HOLSTER YOU CARRY WITH”—the price is kind of high, but they were worth every cent.— work well in both low light and bright light situations.— definitely recommend them to any one looking for a sight upgradeFinally, have a professional gun smith install them. They will be able to sight them in and install them without damaging the gun...... you can do it your self it’s just not recommended, I am a very mechanically inclined person who has built a couple guns from the ground up. So I installed mine myself, they work perfectly.Definitely recommend theses sights for someone looking to upgrade their sights

Excellent sites for close quarters work, suck as self defense or working within 15 yards. Picking up these sites is super fast, I can't match the site acquisition speed with any other sites that I own or have used, save maybe for red dots. The massive front site is hard NOT to see and pick up. Great for teaching new shooters because it helps alot with one of the most common problems: Not focusing on the front site!Quality is typical of most Trijicon products: Outstanding. Very durable and excellent quality control. Tritium vials (what makes it glow) are bright in the dark, not noticeable during the day.The only downsides I find with this site are the design itself, which works for its intended purpose and is just my opinion. The massive front site can be a little troublesome for precision shooting at a distance. Not too many people care about this because it will likely go on a defensive pistol, but the site can be too big for 8 inch plates at 30 yards or more as is completely covers your target. Once again, I don't think these sites were designed with longer range in mind, but it is something to be aware of. It was also difficult for me to get used to the layout of the sites because the rear site has no distinguishable dots (if it is bright out) to easily reference like with popular and typical three dot site. The rear site does have tritium vials, but they are difficult to see during daylight or even in indoor light. I wish Trijicon had put white paint around the tritium on the rear site like their classic nightsites, but its not really too hard to get used to. The dot is designed to sit in the "U" of the rear site, but I am so used to three dot sites that I found learning the new layout alittle tough. Once again, these negatives are only how perceive them.I love the sites for what I believe they were designed to do: be fast at close distances for a carry or home defense gun. If you need a site that excels at close range, I can think of very few that come close. If you want a more balanced or long range site, I would look elsewhere.

Really great product overall. To me this is a great compromise between a product such as the XS Big Dots and a traditional 3-dot sight. Get the colored dot in the middle of the rear sight and pull the trigger, easy peasy. The fit and finish are typical Trijicon and are excellent. The vials themselves glow very brightly at night. The colored front dot really stands out. The paint on the front dot is photo-luminescent and really shines in the sun, much more so than it would appear from the pictures. The black rear is serrated to prevent glare. The contrast between the colored front and black rear is great for drawing and shooting from concealment. Having a notch sight instead of just a post makes it, in my opinion, a bit easier to be sure of your windage. Also maintains the ability to pull off accuracy shots at distance such as on a range. My only negative might be the depth of the U-notch on the rear sight. It's quite deep as the sights are really meant as a combat sight.Only issue is that I noticed you have to bury the orange dot in the bottom of the notch in order for a cover hold to make point of impact = point of aim. In simple terms if I want to hit the bullseye by covering it with the front dot I need to make sure the front dot appears lower in my rear sight, to the point where it doesn't appear to be the same height as the rear. I think these sights are meant for a bit of a 6 o'clock hold. It's not really an issue, just not what I'm used to. At most I'd mark them down 1/2 a star.It can be a royal pain in the butt to get that rear sight off. Good advice is to spray it with some penetrating oil and let it sit for ~ 5 minutes. I would NOT recommend trying to remove the rear or front with just a hammer and brass rod. It really takes a sight pusher to break the mechanical lock on these. There are a few decent universal ones and some specific ones as well. Of course you could also just bring it to a local smith, make sure he has the sight tool first, and pay like $30 for the install.
