The plus is it was on sale and it is 160’ of new line. The line is better than most of the spools I’ve had. The big handle doesn’t lock open making it a little awkward. The crank handle could be hard to use with big gloves. I’m a Great Lakes diver that dives ice to ice so the small handle may be hard to use with the big 7mm gloves. Seems sturdy enough to do the job, just awkward.

I love the easy to use action of this reel. Easier than just the type you stick your fingers in to unreal. Glad I found it. Haven't had the opportunity to use it in the ocean but works great otherwise.

So far, I like it. There are some changes I would like to see but it should work well. I specifically liked the winder. It has 100 feet of good, high vis line. It seems to be made well enough. I am sure you could break the handles but there should be no need to handle it that rough. I took all the line off to ensure it was attached to the reel and it was. The 100 feet does not leave much of the holes left to put the line through when storing. You could take 20' off and it would probably be perfect. The reel is 3.25" in diameter and 2" thick including the handles when folded.
