We moved into a new build and I noticed that they didn’t run any low voltage Ethernet - only coax - as if we were moving into a new 1990’s hope. I was super annoyed, because WiFi is good, but can only deliver mediocre results. I discovered these online and realized I should give it a try.To my delight, these things work amazingly well - and you learn how to terminate coax cable correctly in the meantime. Once I had everything done, it lit up immediately and has been giving me 1GB speeds at each end point. I tied that into my existing gigabit netowrk and my network connectivity problems were solved. They have been working for 4+ mths and I am so happy I have them. Will buy more when we build an office and second garage. Would recommend!

The Trend Ethernet over cable system works perfectly. The setup is simple: plug it in, connect the coaxial cable, turn it on, and voilà—you have internet access over cable. My setup works well over a distance of about 75 -100 feet. Previously, only about 10% of the signal from my Wi-Fi router reached the mesh Wi-Fi extender in my garage. Now, I receive about 95%. What a colossal improvement!

Got these to replace a very unsightly ethernet cable that snaked its way from upstairs down to the living room to provide a wired connection to my PC which I use for work. I realised that there was some Virgin Media coax that went from the living room to the bedroom so decided to pick these up. I'm still getting the ~600mbit that I was getting with the ethernet cable using these adapters and the coax run. Bear in mind that these come with US plus but accept 100-240v so you'll just need a couple of cheap socket adapters to use them in the UK.

I decided, finally, to give this manner of networking a try. I avoided it for a very long time. Now, I'm kicking myself for waiting so long. Yeah, I had the long Cat 5 cable, hot glued to the baseboards, running from my office, down a hall, and finally to the living room. The minute this product arrived, I gathered the necessary cables and hooked it up. That afternoon I pulled all that cable. This device is phenomenal and FAST! I can't give it enough praise. To add other devices to me wired network, all I need to is get another receiver.

Why did it take me soooo long to hear about this!??Living in a large, brick home that has a FIOS modem & router on one end of it and attempting to use a range extender for streaming at the other end of it was NOT working. At. All.Then the old COAX "cable boxes" get shut down and replaced with wireless devices. Which meant attempting to relocate the modem and router (and crawling under a 30 year old house to drill holes for new wires...NO THANK YOU).My son came home from college & said MoCA was the answer. So I delved into the world of MoCA.1. The new Verizon Fios routers ARE compatable. There seemed to be alot of yes/no discussion around this.2. You only need 1 box if your router is compatible. The set up was very simple. Coax line in wall. Box. TV. My son said something about direct connecting to ethernet for gaming speeds (which he uses when home), but that means nothing to me. I now can stream movies/TV with no lag, freezing, buffering or Interruption. Yay!And I know it saved me upwards of $800 by not having to have someone come run new lines throughout my house.

I was able to get the full 1GB network running on a dark Coax network. Unlike the wallplug I had, which promised a 2.5GB speed ... I was only able to get 450 MB speed.

It was delivered fast, and is a decent option for those with internet issues, however, you must state that it is only compatible with US as we had to buy an alternative power pack to suit our region (Australia)

Unless you have two coaxial systems in your house, this useless product will not work. Customer service was friendly but could not address false advertising. They also kept insisting that I needed to follow the Quick Installation Guide which was a joke as they show internet service coming into the house through the air! This internet signal enters the house by magic. Then you capture that signal somehow and connect it to a router. Once you have achieved this feat, you are all set because now you can connect the router to the adapter and then connect a coaxial cable from the adapter to an unused coaxial port. Now don’t forget that this port is unused because you don’t need it to bring the internet cable into the house because you previously magically got that signal through the air. Using a cable splitter does NOT work. Two Trendset reps finally told me to just connect the two adapters to each other completely bypassing the entire coaxial system in my house!!I got a comcast tech to come and he could not do anything. He said that if one does not have two coaxial systems say one was used for cable and another was used for a satellite dish, then the adapters will not work. Or you pay someone to run another coaxial wire through the walls of your house to connect two rooms. I wasted many hours trying to make this useless adapter work including watching various how to videos. Needless to say I am returning this terrible product including all the various coaxial and Ethernet cables that I had to buy separately as no cables were included in the box! Who needs cables when you can get high speed internet through the air?

I struggled in my home to run new Cat7 through the walls. It was a mess and terminating Cat7 is something else entirely (vs CAT6). I really didn’t want to drill holes and go through an entire ordeal to wire my upstairs bedroom when my brother in law recommended looking at these. It literally set up in a few seconds on either end. I just plugged it in and attached the coax and ethernet cable. Within seconds I’m getting 400 mbps over my GB network consistently up and down. YMMV based on your coax, but I got great results for very low cost. While I’m not hitting GB speeds, I never had that expectation and it trumps the 200-300 peak speeds that I get over wifi. Great value with the only downside being a little extra equipment at the wall. Would definitely recommend for existing home coax setups where new cable runs are challenging.
