Why did you pick this product vs others?:Does not work. Contacted seller for recommendations. Followed recommendations and still did not work. Tried several times, clearing cache, wiping metal parts with alcohol and charging for 20 hours. Returning

I purchased this battery back in may, and since then ive gone through about 3 battery cycles a week. Almost 4 months later and the battery is still kicking! If you have windows 10 or 11 (I personally use 11) you'll only get about 2 hours of use on a full charge (this is with the 3.06GHz core 2 duo model, a cheaper intel pentium model might differ) but if you turn the brightness down and turn on battery saver mode you can squeeze up to 4 hours out of a charge. This is way better than the original dell battery, which i still use as a spare when this one dies, but that only gets about 45 minutes out of a charge. For the price, i highly recommend it. Its only a few dollars more than a 6 cell battery and it's worth the extra money. I'll update this review when this battery starts to wear down.

Bigger than original but supposedly last longer. Sticks out rear of computer about an inch but other than that is working great. We don’t move laptop much so it doesn’t really matter to me. I wish I had known I could buy a new battery sooner. The original has been bad for many years. I will purchase again when this one stops charging. Cheap. We get about 4 hrs from a full battery

The replacement battery arrived and fit as expected but I did take care to ensure I was ordering the correct replacement up front. Not enough time has elapsed for me to comment on length of battery life or longevity.

I had low expectations given my laptop is fairly aged, it originally came with Win 7 and touts a core I3 500gb HDD and 6 gb ram. This battery gave it a new lease on life, I can safely unplug and move around for hours. I used to be able to start up and get logged in and settled before reaching for my charging cord, now I don't even bring it to my classes. Battery life went from 30-40 minutes to over 2 hours with moderate use. And I still have my old battery for a backup just in case.
