This helped get my manual treadmill up and running again with no more squeaks or unusual resistance. I recently pulled it out of storage for the winter months and knew it was due for lubricant and a tension adjustment. I used this lube on the belt and it runs much more smoothly now. The lubricant itself is a good quality, and has held up for a while now. I don't think I'll need to reapply until next winter. However it wasn't the easiest to apply. The brush they include could have been a bit longer in my opinion. I tossed the tiny brush after the one application since it was such a hassle, but the tube itself still has plenty left for another application.

The photos compare this lube, on the left, with the liquid lube that came with my Sole treadmill. They're applied to a metal music stand since that's easier to compare than showing it on the treadmill. (In the second picture, I spread the PWEOW lube with my finger... I should have shown it with the brush.)This PWEOW lube is thick -- almost the consistency of Vaseline. That means you can't just squirt it under the treadmill belt, you have to loosen the belt significantly more to get you hand all the way into the center. Then you still need to spread it around a bit using the provided brush. The brush is small but does a good job of spreading; it's just awkward trying to work under the treadmill belt.As for effectiveness, this feels essentially the same as the liquid lube that came with my treadmill. It's hard to quantitatively rate the effectiveness since it will take a lot of time to see if it provides adequate lubrication and is long lasting. But I did a touch test between this and the liquid lube that came with my treadmill, rubbing each between my fingers. This one is a slight bit tackier, but I'm sure that changes as soon as little friction warms it up. It seems like it will do the job.
