The plastic gears in the servo that came with my e-revo vxl was the latest thing to break. After a run outside, I noticed that the steering wasn't working properly. It was grinding and just not turning at all. After taking apart the servo I saw that one of the gears had broke several teeth. After looking online for a new servo I came to the same conclusion as everyone else: buy new gears for cheaper than buy a new servo. This set is a perfect upgrade for the 2080 servo to make it essentially a 2080r for less than half the price. I'm not sure why the upgraded vxl models didn't just come standard with that anyway. Not that I should be surprised, seems like all the expensive stuff on mine is breaking. Original battery then the motor died and now the servo.Anyways these gears are a perfect fit and include the grease needed for the gears. The only 'hard' part was getting the front wheels straight with it without having to put the trim all the way to one side. The trim is no longer at 0, but I only had to move it a couple notches to the left to make it straight. I'm sure I could fix it by taking it apart again and adjusting the gears, but it's fine as is. Here's to hoping that nothing else fails.

The parts fit as designed and work like a champ. The install is a bit tricky so pay attention and make certain you are lining everything up correctly. This should be included from Traxxas as stock but considering the cost is low I won't complain :-)

1/16 or 1/18 Traxxas Gravedigger I have blown thru 3 servos, people love to grab the tires and move them blowing the servo gears , this time I just did metal rebuild , took 5-10 min, don't even have to take all the way out, works and hard to mess up now!

Had steering issue with stock traxxas slash 1/16 servo. Clicking noise and loss in performance gears jumping. Metal servo gears work. Many other options but this does work not to bad of price. Unsure how durable stopped using truck for moment.

Showed up like a week early. Sweeeet! Metal gears upgrade the servo for the mini E-revo. Exact metal copy if the stock plastic gears inside the 2080 servo aside from a small metal pin on the bottom of the main steering gear. Keep your gasket from the old one. Comes with lithium grease which is like plastic grease but if you have better stuff just be smart. My advice is don't go buy a new servo if your old one is clicking or failing, thats $45 just for the 2080X and $30 for the least expensive savox equivalent. Just grab this little guy and upgrade to a 2080X with these metal gears.

The original servo, plastic geared, lasted for only one run through the back yard. By the end of the battery, gears were stripped. I ordered the metal gears, reading they would fit.I didn't even pull the servo fully out of the e-Revo. I was able to easily put in the new gears, and it runs as well as new. I expect it to last a long time now.

definitely a must have and worth the money. I bought these to put in my 1/16 erevo after stripping out the plastic gears. I have bashed my erevo several times after I installed these and still work like a champ.

Wow, these gears are amazing! Bought em after the gears on my 1/16 erevo vxl stripped every single tooth of the turning gear (every. Single. One.) and I was surprised how cheap metal ones were, fit perfectly and even came with some lube which I didn’t even know I would need but came in handy! After bashing the living hell out of these for weeks I have to say these things are incredibly durable and responsive! One note though, when first installed these take a few days to losen up so keep that in mind if you are buying right before a race!
