I bought this bag to replace the one I bought about 10 years ago. Originally I bought for travel but ended up using it daily. It was durable. The water bottle mesh only recently ripped but coukd still hold an umbrella or 8 oz or 12 oz water bottle.I am disappointed that this bag is missing a few things my original bag had such as: a pen holder inside tge main compartment and in the wallet on the back. The wallet on the back is missing the mini flashlight and an additional pocket inside on the back (useful space for extra mask or battery pack) . Also disappointed at the gray inside, my striped version has a lighter color purple which helps me see things better inside. I don’t know why Travelon would remove these features when they only added value to the bag.Overall this is still a good travel bag with great security features. If you’ve never owned this bag previously you’ll be satisfied with the features. The material loosens up over time so it doesn’t feel as stiff and will accommodate more items.

I purchased it to travel abroad but I ended up using it every day since. It has a lot of different compartments with durable zippers. One of the best features is the side pockets that you can put water bottles in. The adjustable strap is sturdy and allows you to adjust from a comfortable cross body. Main zipper has a clasp on the end that allows security when closed to side metal loop. I would highly recommend for anyone that wants a secure bag that looks great!

This bag was just what I needed but didn’t have on my two week trip to the UK. Let’s just say I feel for some algorithm marketing on Facebook and bought another “travel safe” bag. That one didn’t even finish the trip and got throw in the garbage upon return. So this time, I did better research.., criteria included strong zippers, lots of pouches, rip safe, slice safe (against thieves) lightweight and easy to access critical items such a phone, passport, headphones and even a water bottle. THIS BAG IS IT! HUGE VALUE for the money and solid. It’s even lined with the material that does lt allow cyber criminals to access your data. Really well made, comfortable, adjustable and even fairly stylish. This bag will be my new travel go to, and it’s nice enough for everyday as well.

Bought it for my Europe travels to carry my multiple personal items daily as I moved around. I liked this very much. It’s not the most chic or hip of designs. But it looks presentable enough for a casual dinner out but tasteful yet practical for daytime walking around, water-resistant and easy to keep clean, doesn’t attract unnecessary attention, and is user-friendly. It packed in everything I needed - wallet, mobile, keys, cards, travel wallet with passport, even a book. Loved the fact there were many inner pockets to place cards, keys, pen, etc. , i didn’t need to dig deep to the bottom of the bag to search for things. The 2 side mesh zippered pockets were amazing - they packed away if unused, yet big enough to hold a 500ml bottle of water and a folding umbrella! Well designed - packed all essentials without unsightly bulging, but served at the same time to thwart theft (all openings were zippered and even with flap, zips and metal parts all sturdy and worked smoothly). Also zip openings were not too tight or small, just right for retrieving items without struggling with the zip. And comfortable to wear with broad, adjustable straps. This bag was not big enough to put in a raincoat, jacket or scarf, flask or iPad but if all you wanted was a bag to hold your smaller personal items within easy reach but securely against pickpockets, this product ticks all the boxes plus more. . Great product. Recommended.

I bought three of the Travelon bags for Spain and Italy. The mini shoulder bag , the cross body bucket bag and this one the Classic messenger bag. The classic Messenger bag was the one I used for my everyday purse. It fit my one kindle wallet passport and all my personal items with room to buy small gifts . it was very practical and did not show any dirt. It isn't pretty but went with all my outfits. We did have two men try to pickpocket us in Barcelona, I'm sure those two thieves were very disappointed the second they realized my purse was not going to be a free lunch for them. These criminals are very smooth, and aggressive. If you want to feel protected while in high crime areas get this bag, be vigilant and keep it locked at all times and across you body. This bag like all security bags only works if it is locked and secured across you body. zippers are no problem for these thieves. It is the locks on this bag that make it such a outstanding product,this bag has three separate locks. It also has two small water bottle carriers that you unzip at the the side to expand for use, I found my self putting pamplets from museums in these water bottle spots so as not to have to fuss with the locks on my bag. The locks are a little bit of an inconvenience but taking the time to unlock and lock them is better then losing a passport, credit card or money. I used all three bags on my trip through Europe but this classic messenger bag had more locks on it then the other bag and it was a nice size not to big or to small I found I used this one the most the three locks are one on top one under the flap portion and one in back of the purse . I used every single lock and I also kept my valuables in the back portion of the purse it has pockets for Id money pen ect. The big ugly grey metal clasp unscrews and your bag can be locked to a chair. I did not use this feature but it is a nice safety feature but also you should check the screw portion before going out as if it is lose the bag could come unhooked and fall from your shoulder. I can not say enough good things about this bag sturdy and secure.
