The sticky notes arrived as advertised, they are transparent and have good adhesive. Kind of strong. Please test it on a page you don't care about to see if it will lift ink or rip paper before you apply it.Onto the testing. Like everyone here, we have preferred pens. The product itself warns us, only ballpoint pens with thick oil based ink and permanent markers will work on this "paper".I wanted to see if I could skip over the rule. I tested my favorite pens. I test smeared 5 seconds after writing on the right side of my squiggle. And then 15 seconds on the left of the squiggle. Highlighters will NOT work. Another person has said that the best "highlighter" to use on this product is a colored sharpie. After testing the sharpie, this is true.As you can see on my product photo review, the only gel based pen that holds up, is the Sarasa Dry. If you are stubborn like me, Sarasa dry is the best gel pen to use on this paper. Just, wait 30 seconds or more for it to dry.The sharpie marker of course, smeared the least at 5 seconds and not at all at 15 seconds.All in all, this is a very good product and I love it for note taking.

Tried these at work and I really like how the performed. Water proof and decent adhesive. A lot better than the paper ones. Can also use them as tabs for books or folders. I buying more. And recommend them.

The design of the sticky seems to be useful. The size of it is just like sticky note. The functionality to write on it can be difficult if doing it in pen; smears so easily.

... And make studying and note taking so much easier! The colors are great well defined yet perfectly see through. I love the thickness of the paper, it feels very high quality. The stickiness is excellent. I tested it out stuck it to a piece of paper picked it up stuck it back again to another piece of paper and it still stuck very well. I did use three different kinds of writing mediums on it to show how they function. The pencil went down very nicely did not smudge. The ballpoint pen the first time I tried to write on it it wouldn't write so I tested it out scribbled on another piece of paper and then tried writing again and it wrote fine. Not sure if it was the paper or the pen itself. The zebra gel pen smears very badly and does not dry. I haven't tried other types of mediums since those seem to be the three main ones that most people are going to use and the ones that I use the most. For what I got I would definitely say it is a good value for the money I spent. I'm excited to get some good studying and note taking in using these. This is totally going to up my study game!

I ordered these to use in my Bible. They are very transparent, thick enough to be written on, and don’t smear like a sheet would. They are clear and easy to cut if needed smaller. They stick to the pages great and are just like normal sticky notes. Good size and use. Good purchase overall. In this picture I drew an earth with highlighters. Dried quick, Transparent, and Cute.

Markers come right off with these and some pen ink wont stay either. The brand made different one just for this issue so buy those if you wanted to swatch palettes

Fully transparent and sticks well to paper. Not too sticky, you can remove and place them somewhere else without it removing the book ink underneath.Pencil works but you can’t erase it.Most pens work.Sharpies and Bic markers work but wait like 3 seconds or it will smear.Highlighters do NOT work on these. They never dry and it separates on the sheet. Not even sharpie highlighters.Nice for using in books to add notes without actually writing in your book, sucks that you can’t highlight anything.Over all, worth the price.

Could really annotate without getting ink on the paper and it is really transparent as it says.
