I finally got the time to try these out, since they require ironing and my iron made a disappearing act some time ago. I did not want a big patch on the outside of my jeans, like I saw elsewhere, I only wanted to close up a three inch rip right on the left buttock area in a pair of my favorite Calvin Klein jeans. I saw a video where someone else repaired a pair of jeans and first sewed up the rip and then ironed the patch on. So, that's what I did. The lighter blue shade was a good match, so I ironed it one and it adhered pretty well. I don't know how long it will last, but, if it comes off, I will just repeat the process. These patches are soft and thin, which I kind of liked, rather than a thick patch, which I would probably notice every time I wore them. I am just so happy to get some more wear out of those jeans. I would recommend these, with the warning that you may have to repeat the patching process eventually.

Review for TransOurDream Tru-Iron on Patches for Jeans 20pcsI carry a lot of stuff in my pockets and after a while quite a few of my pockets begin to tear or pull from the legs. Rather than just buy new pants I mend them with patches, I found guides/howto directions online on how to back the edges with a patch and then reinforce the corner, after cutting a patch to allow for the pocket’s ‘cut out’ and sew it together. That is where these come in for me, I iron on the patch after cutting to back the pocket corner from the inside then cut a nice piece with a cutout, and some people cut or sew a nicer pattern for the outside, then sew it on the outside over the corner. This reinforces everything and covers any tears visible from the outside. These worked great for my needs, iron on is holding and I sewed so I can’t say if it would hold long or the life of the clothing without the extra work of sewing but that's how I use them.

This is a package of 20 iron on patches for repairing holes in your denim pants. There are a total of 20 patches, 4 each of 5 colors in the blue family with a range of shades. Clear instructions are provided that describe the steps required to apply the patches to your denim jeans or jacket. I think the size is useful, the medium ones that I received are 3"x4.25" in size. I like that the price is very economical, if you are patching clothes this may be an important aspect.I recommend this set of TransOurDream Iron Patches.

I’ve used similar patches in the past and thought I’d try these because of their larger size. I typically use these on work pants to repair tears and worn spots, so exact color matches and texture are not important to me. These patches are thinner than denim material but are relatively soft to the touch. I rounded the edges off before ironing the patch onto a ripped out knee. It did adhere at first but an edge did detach after a few minutes. I noticed a strong chemical smell when ironing; recommend ironing in a well-ventilated area. Instructions do not recommend re-ironing but rather cutting off any “raised parts.” Since I don’t expect these patches to withstand normal washing given my initial experience, I plan to sew around the edges. Instructions claim that the patch shouldn't be washed until after 48 hours of ironing on, and turn inside-out, and dry on low heat; I know I would never follow these instructions for work jeans.

I'm a farmer, and work with bales of hay. This wears out my jeans, especially at the knees. I need a quick, easy way to patch them. I've tried iron-on patches several times over the years, with mixed results. Some stay on; others come loose quickly. And it's hard to know before you try them which will be which. These look good, and don't cost TOO much, so I'll give them a try on the next pair that develops a hole in the knee.

The patches had good instructions, were plentiful and good size. The were easy to apply per the instructions. I have these jeans which I am too fond of to retire yet, and they have stress problems at the pockets and some wear. I applied the patches to these areas. I've tried other iron on solutions and they were not good. These feel pretty stuck on.UPDATE Wore the jeans the next day. Sadly, none of the patches stayed affixed. Once they are ironed on they can't be reused and would need to be applied again. Every one failed, so I am disappointed. Now, I gave four stars because I have to see how they will hold up with wear and laundering. If I can get a little more life out of these jeans I'll be happy.
