Very useful product. Only negative is I'd say the fabric isn't very tough so it doesn't hold its shape great.

I returned this since it is more like a portfolio bag- it actually unfolds and is twice the length shown. Quality looked good but gave it a 3 star because the description does not accurately describe the product.

Love the look and size for what I need. As for the quality, it feels kind of cheap. Looking at the stitching in the corners of the zipper it’s right up against the edge and I’m afraid with time it’s going to pull away or rip. The backpack straps look and feel cheap and you can see the foam insert placed into the strap for padding. The carry handle is just pressed together in the center with a 2 inch piece of Velcro instead of utilizing a wraparound on the handle secured with Velcro. The canvas does not look and feel by canvas instead it’s that type of thin fabric that has the appearance of canvas on the outside, but on the inside is a lightly lube surface. This is also a plus because it does protect everything on the inside by providing a bit of light waterproofing. The plastic buckles also fill brittle, and if not handled with care could break easily.I definitely love the idea behind this product along with the look and color. As for longevity only time will tell on how well it’s durability stands up to daily use from a college student walking back-and-forth on campus approximately a mile and a half daily.I’ll post updates with time and what has changed or stayed the same.Update:had this for a couple weeks now and it’s holding up nicely. I’ve used it walking across campus in a snowstorm turned rain storm and it kept everything inside dry. I am still worried about the main compartment zipper, but I did made a few alterations with a needle and thread. I added a little bit extra stitching to the corners around the zipper, and then folded the straps and stitch them so they wouldn’t fall out of the buckles.

I love the look of this bag! I would love it more though if the zipper for the main compartment wasn’t so weak. I got this bag for my Drawing 101 class. I can organize all of my supplies (pencils-graphite, charcoal, erasers, vine charcoal, fixatif, etc) very well in it. I can fit 2-3 different drawing pads that are 18inx24in each. However, if you’re looking for a bag to fit the same size drawing board, this bag will not be for you. Also, the buckles on the backpack section: love the backpack idea, however the buckles are plastic and cheaper so they don’t hold the straps well… not a deal breaker but a little inconvenient.

Holy moly! I read the description, SAW the dimensions, and somehow didn't really think of what it would look like. The reviews talked about carrying larger pads and that's exactly why I got it. I'm a fine art student with several studio courses that happen on the same days and it was getting painful and ridiculous to lug around several tote bags, a backpack, and a purse to school. When this arrived, it arrived folded and met my mental picture of what was coming...but then realized it was folded. This thing is massive!! Now let's dive into my review of it in overstuffed use:Pros:- Lots of storage! Lots of pockets!- Top handle (sturdily placed in the upper center of the back for smart weight-distributed lifting)- Side handle (two handles that are padded and can attach to each other) to carry sideways like a traditional portfolio bag.- two adjustable backpack strapsWhat Fits Inside (what's in my bag)- 14x17" Bristol pad (with 7" above it left in the bag)- 11x14" Tracing pad- 9x12" Drawing pad- (2) 9x6" sketchbooks- One standard folder for documents- Macbook Air with large zipper case- Kindle Scribe with case- Clear plastic case with 52 clay tools inside- A large bag of (plastic) terracotta clay- Samsung s20 Ultra, earbuds case- Gallon Ziploc bag FILLED to the top of pencils and markers- Gallon Ziploc bag filled with drawing pencils, erasers, charcoal sticks- Quart Ziploc bag filled with acrylic paint tubes- Clif bars, snacks, 16 oz wide-mouth Klean Kanteen water bottle- Apron, large scissors, painter's tape, snap-off utility blade, 18" metal ruler- 16 oz tub of acrylic medium- My purse (which is about 12x3x8")For the sake of this review, I've removed my bag of clay and electronics and could still fit 5 stretched 16x20" canvases with everything else. I've carried it on my back and it doesn't feel like I'm carrying my entire studio with me lol It fits great. I'm only 5'2 and it doesn't kill me. It's wonderful. I've been using it for a week and so far, so good. No signs of stress on the stitching. I love the color I chose (black). It looks earthy and neutral. It looks like heathered charcoal with a sandy tan olive.

I'm an art student and I was using a bag with only handheld straps to carry around my supplies but even then, not all of them would fit and I'd have to use a book bag as well. This portfolio case changed all of that. I can fit everything I need in here and more. I have my big drawing pad, 11x17 bristol board, 6+ bottles of acrylic paint (Mostly 4oz bottles), 2 boxes of soft pastels, a pencil box, my laptop, and an iPad in here (Just to name a few things). It doesn't hurt my back and I still have plenty of space. The zippers are sturdy, they don't feel loose or like they're about to fall off. The pockets are deep. There is no fraying in the fabric. The straps are wide and have some really nice cushions, so they're pretty comfortable. Every strap on the bag is adjustable, so you can tailor the bag to fit your needs. The only thing of note is that when I first got the bag none of the prong sides of the buckles were looped all the way through so when I unboxed it, they fell off and I had to find and reattach them. However, that was really easy to do and wasn't too big of an issue. In summary, I truly love this bag. It has checked all of my boxes and I highly recommend it.
