At time time of this review the price of this item is $16. It's a knockoff of a more popular line of transforming toys...and it broke the first time my 10 year old used it. To get the doors open on the blue one, you have to push it down a little bit before pulling. He wasn't patient and now the door stays open all the time.I admit, the magnetic (pop out!) function to create a robot is very cool. There were instructions included with mine so that's not an issue, but I truly can't imagine a 3 or 4 year old getting full use of these transformers. I would say 6+ is a good age.

I ordered this toy for my 4 year old who loves transformers. He has no idea that this is a knock off Optimus Prime. He loves hitting the two cars together on their magnetic sides and having them combine. They are easy to flip back into cars by pulling them apart and placing the legs back. I love that he can play with this toy by himself and that it doesn't have a bunch of steps to transform. That being said, I think this is a toy for young kids (2-6) as it is small and easy. Also, if giving as a gift, just know that the packaging is just a small bubble wrap bag and there are no tags, cardboard, or plastic, which again I don't think most young kids would care about.

I bought this transformer like toys for my 3-year-old for Christmas so it is still in the package because I didn't want him to see me playing with it. He always finds a way to see what I'm doing. These are smaller than what I imagined but that won't make a difference to my son. He will just be excited to play with these. They seem to be like nice quality. I will definitely update after Christmas. Definitely giftable and would make fantastic stocking stuffers! You should definitely get them a try.

This is really cool! Two cars clicks together by tiny magnets and jump into a robot. It’s very small, good for 4 year old hands!Things to know:It does not come in packaging at all. So not the best for gift giving as there’s no way to know it’s new.It is not super sturdy in the hands of a 4 year old. I expect this to last about a week. He already slightly broke it on day 1 but it’s still usable. The price is fairly high for what you’re getting. I would have expected under ten for this toy.

Let's start with what this actually is.... This is a knockoff of combiner Force Optimus and strongarm. This particular series of transforming robots is aimed at a younger audience and thusly very simplistic. I am taking that into account here when reviewing.Starting with presentation, these did not come with a box. They were in simple bubble wrap plastic, but did include instructions. The quality of the plastic seems very good and in line with what the main line figures would be like. Mechanically all parts work perfectly as well. The two smaller robots have very simplistic transformations and are very much intended for a younger audience. They do not have much in the way of posability. However, for what they are, they look quite good. The vehicle mode of the police car looks good. The truck vehicle mode is.... Well. Something to be desired. The entire magnetic transformation gimmick works great with these, and is a good little concept. Solid product.

Maybe that's the fun of it all though, figuring out how to transform these vehicles into robots without having instructions to tell you the short cuts. It took me a little while to figure out (for the fun of it, I didn't look at the listing's pics) that the two vehicles combine to make one character. I had a good time trying to flex the various pieces/ arms/legs with a little feat that I might break them. But they didn't, I was careful. I think any kid who is a fan of transforming toys will really like these. If you don't tell them the secret first (that they lock together with a magnet). See if it's a fun puzzle for them. The pieces are really small, and as vehicles alone, they're pretty cool, except that it looks like there's an entire robot just underneath the car/truck. I guess that's just a ruse because that's not the endgame thing you're trying to build. Quite a fun puzzle indeed!

This should be about $3 with how cheaply made it is. It's really flimsy, will for sure break when it gets thrown, and is much smaller than they would want you to think by the picture. I thought it would be about 6" + by the picture. But it's probably about 4" when put together. That being said, the kids thought it was really cool and it is admittedly amusing to put the two cars together magnetically.
