I own both the 25 and 27 sets in duossal ( sadly discontinued ) The 27 is my solo pack , canoe , kayak, motor cycle go to. The 25 will feed two hungry men. Three or four office types. Great for canoe trips. I wanted wanted a gas burner for those times the powers that be decide you can't use alcohol. ( even though alcohol is arguably safer and easier to extingish . )For the price of the two pots and burner I now have an extra upper and lower windscreen and pan. Since my original windscreen is still going strong , I'm sure I'll gift the new one.In addition to the major benefit of being self contained EACH piece is individually available. Making replacement should something be damaged an option. Additionally if you'll take time to learn to use it, you can cook anything on this kit you can at home. Stack pots to cook multiple items at same time. Dry bake.... It's simply the best.Pick up a genuine trangia alcohol stove to go with it and your good anywhere.

As an engineer, I appreciate when functionality helps dictate a design. This stove is by no means the lightest or smallest out there, but it does a great job at cooking food. The bottom portion that holds the burner allows air to come in from the bottom and mix with the fuel for a solid burn, while the top portion is solid to prevent wind from blowing your flame out and reflects heat back in to more efficiently warm what's on top. The remote canister design allows a user to get the most out of a fuel canister by turning it upside down as it gets low (do have to be careful to not leave liquid in your feed line), and control the flow without having to reach near the flame. Pots and pan that came with the stove clean up easy and have decent capacity for one person.
