Trail Tech speaks for themselves when it comes to quality parts. For whatever reason however the package came with the wrong water sensor and speed sensor. Maybe an incompatibility with gen 2 and gen 3 bikes, but the description included my year.Trail Tech will help you directly, but that only works if you're in the US.I suggest buying from a named dealer.

Thus unit showed up on time and one of the easiest installation I've done on my DRZ400. Only took about 30 minutes to install and the directions were good.

Bought this for my sv650 as it was listed as "vehicle specific".... universal IS NOT VEHICLE SPECIFIC!!! vehicle specific means plug and play. Not butcher wires to fit microscopic plugs....

I just got this in the mail and haven't installed it yet but I am very impressed with the build quality. Really looks top notch.I needed to call tech support to find the right model for my Suzuki DRZ400 and they answered the phone pretty quickly and knew what they were talking about- rare in this day and age.The tachometer display goes to 12000 RPM, which means about two-thirds of the display will be wasted on my low revving thumper but considering I never had a tach anyway this is not a big deal. Installation of the sensor wire looms trivial (Just wrap it a few times around the spray plug wire).Likewise, the sensor for water temperature looks easy to install although you do have to splice it into a flexible pipe. Never had this feature available on the DRZ400 before. It also comes with a built-in Ambient Air Temperature which is great and also not part of the original DRZ instrumentation set.

Buy the MD-9 mount so you can keep your stock neutral lights. This kit dose not come with neutral lights.

I ended up making a custom bracket to mount this speedo/tach unit on my SV650. In the attached photo you'll see that I also got the warning lights panel. It works pretty well and there is a lot online about it if you have any issues installing. One very well-known issue is getting the tach to work. The official instructions suggest wrapping the tach wire around one of your spark plugs wires so that it picks up the ignition signal via induction, but that doesn't work for me. I've tried different numbers wraps and whatnot. Some people connect the tach wire directly to the coil signal wire, but I didn't bother. I just have a tach that doesn't work and some day I might try more to get it working.Otherwise it works pretty well, and I've never had a problem with it in the rain.

Absolutely love this little guy!Though it is pricey, it is worth every penny. The ease of installation and the simplicity of everything is so worth it!I put it on my SV650, Which I purchased wrecked with plans to make it into a adventure style bike!I tried to get multiple cheap universal gauges to work, but nothing really functioned properly.I was watching a Fortnine video and saw him talk about the trailtech series!Being totally stand alone really appealed to me, because it allowed me to start fresh and not deal with the OEM wiring.Installation was simple and straightforward. Everything worked perfectly. Only issue I had was mounting it, but I fabricated a little mount and it's been holding up strong for the past 1000kms!If you're on the fence about getting this. Just do it. Its totally worth it!

Easy to install. Works like a charm on my drz400s. Had an updated wheel sensor that mounted to the fork instead of having to drill the brake caliper.
