I'm a trail cam junkie and own quite a few. I have some that are high end and others that are more of a bargain brand. This camera comes in at the higher end, but at a better price than many offering the same features. So lets talk about about resolution. Resolution statements are often inflated because what's being used is interpolation. Interpolated photos are enhanced using software which makes the file appear to be a higher megapixel photo, but you won't usually see an improvement in clarity or resolution. In fact, the trail camera that is used by more professionals than any other is only a 3 megapixel camera.Having said all of this, I'm impressed with the quality and clarity of the images from this camera. The color balance is good, and it does seem to be on the higher end of quick trigger time.It doesn't have as many settings as other cameras I own, which allow for multiple burst shots, varying video length, and video that will keep going if there is still movement. But again, at the price point I can live without that.

First night using the camera, but I think the night images are great. The settings give a lot of options to dial it into whatever you want. I’m going to place the camera in a few different settings to try and get closer to our Barn owls for when the baby owlets come out.

It took me a while to finally get around to setting up this camera, but now that I've had a chance to power it and up and play with the settings and mount, I'm really happy with it. We live in the city but have a fairly large green space behind us that sees a lot of wildlife - some coyotes and red foxes, but mostly birds of all kinds since there is a pond. We have bird feeders with a lot of raccoons and squirrels that like to come by to visit. This camera comes in very handy as I can mount it within range of the house wifi and can view live or motion-activated footage remotely. This kit came with everything you need to get started including batteries. There are two ways to power it - via 8 batteries (provided) or via a hardwired 6V DC input located on the bottom of the unit next to a mounting hole. The on/off/test switch is located on the bottom of the inside control panel which is very intuitive. There are various modes to choose from for camera, video, motion activation, sound on/off, etc.. It also comes with a mounting strap to look around a tree trunk, fence post, etc. We've tried it in a couple of locations around trees as well as from our balcony and the strap makes it very easy to relocate.Overall, I'm very happy with this camera. It's easy to set up and mount. The bonus is remote viewing which is pretty unusual for this type of trail cam. We love it.

This is a wonderful product. All I did was take it out of the box. It was ordered for me for my birthday. I don’t hunt and I’m 78 so I had to return it.

I like that even though they aren't well known name brand batteries, this trail cam came with six AA batteries to get you started instantly. I am not yet sure how long a good set of batteries will last, and it will also depend on how much action the camera sees. Mine has been set up and running for 4 days and the batteries don't appear to have gone down at all yet.Super easy to set the camera up, and also very easy to download the app and sync it to the camera. I like that I can leave it in place and use my phone to view the footage. Another camera that I own has to be messed with in order to view what's on it, which means I then have to reset it into place afterwards - but this camera eliminates that hassle. I have been testing it at my residence, and find that I have to be near the device to get it to sync with my phone. I will also take it camping later this year to see how it syncs there and update this review if I change my opinions.Camera quality seems very crisp and clear. At night it hasn't really caught any movement so far, and it doesn't seem to be able to see nearly as much as my other camera which has very good night vision. But, this camera doesn't produce any high pitched barely detectable to humans noise at night either like my other camera does when it is using night vision. You can set picture, video, picture and video. Length of video recording and how soon to start recording after triggered. Also low to high movement sensitivity. Pretty standard features. It appears to have a good seal and clasp system to keep the camera dry in wet weather. I like that it can be attached to things using a band, or a camera hotfoot. I do wish that it could sit flat on its own, as I don't want to secure it to anything while testing it. It needs to be propped on something because it doesn't have a flat base.It has caught people movement in the daytime, but has not been triggered by wind blowing the branches or grass in the picture. I can also log into it and view real time.So far I am pleased with this, and look forward to bringing it camping. For now I am going to set this up by my chicken coop to monitor the coop for predators.
