These bushings fixed my super loose and sloppy gear shifter on my 2000 Toyota 4Runner SR5. I watched a couple of YouTube videos and I was able to change the bushings out and clean the surrounding area in about an hour.

These worked well and fixed a loose shifter. When taking the shifter apart make sure you take some pictures before and during disassembly. Wires had to run in specific positions.

Top quality bushings. Original fit. Easy to install. The old ones were dust. Excessive Shifter play is now a memory. Very satisfied with the product and price.

These bushings fit properly and once reassembled my transmission shifter feels brand new. However, it is too soon to say how they wear. Also, since the OE shifter bushings had completely disintegrated I couldn’t compare them against the quality of new OE bushings. What I could compare them against was the OE price which is around four times as much. If these decide to fail in the near future I’ll update the review. For now I am quite happy with the purchase

Researched the job on the internet. Pulled the complete shifter out - unfastening top part and then the lower linkage pin to be able to pull out the whole assembly. Total time about 2 hours. Take your time in installing these. And, make sure truck has emergency brake engaged and the wheels are blocked. While putting in the linkage pin underneath the truck, it jumped out of gear and almost ran over me. Wife heard my yells and was just coming out of the garage and put the blocks under the wheels. The Lord saved my life and limbs that day. Not a hard job, just take your time and be careful.

The shifter on my ‘04 Tacoma Prerunner had gotten very loose and at times I could not remove the key easily when in Park. After installing the new bushings, the shifter now works as new, without any of the prior issues. Make sure to watch an installation video on YouTube first, as the installation has a couple important details that you need to know to complete the job properly. You do have to remove the entire shift mechanism from the truck (see picture) as the repair has to be done on a workbench. Good product, with a slightly tricky installation. I recommend this product.
