The top pin slides onto T-post, with pin facing down, rests UNDER a knob of T-post, locks into position when weight of gate is applied..

These are kind of a pain in the butt. The lower bracket supporting the gate stays in place but the upper one relies on a small nail wedged between the t-post and bracket to keep it from moving and it's constantly moving around and causing the gate to sag.

I was very skeptical if they would work to hang a gate on a tpost so I tried them so I can hang a gate for my goats and I would definitely buy these again for another gate they work super well and are very easy to install would recommend to anyone that needs to hang a gate on a tpost

We had no trouble at all getting the bottom hinge on. The top hinge gave us a little trouble. It seems to only slide on one way but not the other for the posts we bought. It also seemed like it was much easier to slide them on first down a post not pounded into place yet and then pound the post in, taking care to make sure the top hinge was far down enough to not get pounded with the post. This is because the top of the post can sometimes get damaged when you pound it, and so it will become misshapen and the top hinge will have trouble sliding on.Our gate is pretty light, it seems to hang just fine.

Would give 5 stars but they fall down unless I have pressure on them and it seems when I open or close gate they want to side down because the wieght isn't pushing down on them or somthing.
