My old router was very old so I switched to this new one to upgrade to better security abilities. Installation was easy. Pretty seamless cutover. Since I change the name of my wireless network and also the password, it was a little tricky getting some of my household electronics to connect to the new WiFi, but got it all figured out. No fault to the router. So far speed and reliability have been good.

This router is amazing. Was very easy to set up. It has a very simple to use app that isn't just for set up , but can help check speed and many other features. It’s not huge but not small. I love that it has 4 antennas. This is the first router i’ve had with more than one antenna and I’ve noticed a huge difference. Highly recommend.

Got this to replace about a 3 year old TP-Link router (was working fine) after Windows 11 added support for WiFi 7 protocols. I've had 4 or 5 TP-Link routers over the years and generally have been completely satisfied with all of the both from a performance, reliability and cost standpoint.Had a minor problem with the install as I could not find what password I used with the login of the older router and it wanted me to do a reset. In doing so I misread the instructions and found myself in somewhat of an endless loop and just decided to call tech support (3:00 am in the Midwestern US). Got connected to a very helpful tech ("Alexander Caberto") that walked me through the reset procedure (I should have waited for the light to quit blinking after letting off the reset button) and after waiting the setup was flawless from then on. Really good pricing and signal strength.

Maybe its because I had a very old router but this is much faster!Setup was easy. Uses same name and password as our old router. Everything tied in fine. Had to power up my modem and router separately. The modem would knock out if I didn't. Also had some trouble with my switch.I have a switch that fed to a poe switch in the garage and it wouldn't talk. Went from the router to each switch separately and everything worked. I'm a little inexperienced with this stuff but setup was easy and straight forward. All my cameras work and internet is much faster. Practically no lag. Very happy!

This router is fast. Sadly it only has 2 2.5gb Ports, 1 Wan and 1 Lan, and 3 other 1gb Ports. It says it supports Link Aggregation but I can't seem to find it. My solution is out of this router to a 5 ports 2.5gb managed switch. Sure it's extra money but a necessary evil all things considered. Now I can have access to several more 2.5gb ports, namely my PC and additional 2.5gb router. I don't need 10gb routing but one day who knows, in the mean time I'm getting the full download speed of what I'm paying for, over 1.2mb down and 40mb up. With my other router, even though all ports are 2.5, for some reason it wasn't kicking 2.5gb to the ports, only the Wan was receiving 2.5gb. Wifi 7 connects a lot faster too, wasn't expecting that.

This powerhouse delivers blazing speeds and effortlessly maxes out a 300MB internet plan without breaking a sweat. The setup process is refreshingly simple—plug it in, and it’s ready to conquer the Wi-Fi battlefield. With Wi-Fi 7, the signal strength and speed are next-level, ensuring uninterrupted streaming, gaming, or video calls from anywhere in the house. The firmware is top-notch, packed with thoughtful features that make this router a standout. One brilliant addition is the ability to assign not just the LAN subnet mask but also the LAN port’s IP. It seamlessly matches settings with the old router, saving hours of reconfiguring static IP devices. Talk about convenience! The accompanying app is the cherry on top. It’s functional, intuitive, and even sends alerts whenever a new device connects—perfect for keeping tabs on the network. Four robust antennas paired with EasyMesh and HomeShield features create a fortress of reliable, high-speed internet. This router isn’t just keeping up with the times; it’s setting the bar sky-high.

Writing mostly to praise the customer support on this device. (The device is great, no complaints). I had issues when attempting to set up the VPN Client feature. This feature is awesome, it allows you to configure the router to connect to a VPN of your choosing by uploading a .ovpn file. Then, you can arbitrarily assign devices to use that VPN. This allows you to immediately protect any assigned device through the VPN without having to individually download VPN clients to each device. So, very handy. Only problem is it wasn't working. I contacted customer support. Each contact with customer support was less around 12 hours response. They asked for some additional information, escalated the issue, and in less than a week I had a custom firmware update for my router that fixed the whole issue. I have never seen that type of support for a device. Amazing. I imagine eventually the firmware fix will be rolled out to everyone, but the fact they pushed out a fix that quickly gives confidence that this device will only get better and better as they continue to support it.TP-Link, if you're listening, think it'd be awesome if you could load multiple VPN profiles (you already allow uploading 6) BUT then having multiple configs active at the same time and allowing assignment of devices to whichever VPN. Currently you are only allowed to have one active VPN and all assigned devices must use the same VPN (if they use the VPN at all...)In any case, great router, great support!

This works as advertised. Just reading other reviews, it seems they do not understand how it works. I can confirm gigabit Ethernet, tested and achieved 1.0 gbit/ second transferring data locally. The WiFi strength is what id expect from a 70$ router, and it can deliver my Internets top speed to any of my devices in the home. Good replacement for my old router.
