  • Non-oscillating direct drive air circulator includes an 18-in diameter aluminum 3-paddle blade, 3-speed pull chain switch, 1/8-HP, 120V, cord, direct drive totally enclosed air-over (TEAO) motor generating up to 3,500-CFM’s;
  • Engineered for harsh environments as the motor contains a totally enclosed air-over (TEAO) housing; generating up to 3,500-CFM’s.
  • ETL Listed for USA/Canada for indoor cooling applications; imported to TPI standards.
  • Where Used: Any area that requires air movement for process or people cooling such as loading dock trailers, personal workstations, shops, garages, commercial handling or industrial areas.

This TPI Corporation LDF-18-TE high velocity circulator head has an 18" blade diameter and is suitable for providing directed air circulation in a loading dock. It has a 3-speed, 115V, 2.2 amp, single phase, 1/8 hp, permanently lubricated, totally enclosed ball bearing motor with permanent split capacitor and a 18/3 SJTW (Service Junior, Thermoplastic, Weatherproof) three-conductor cord with a three-prong plug for connecting to the grounded electric outlet on a TPI loading dock arm mount. The blade assembly, consisting of a steel hub and spider, holds the fan head's three aluminum paddles, which are enclosed by front and rear powder-coated steel wire guards for strength and resistance to corrosion. The fan is mounted to an adjustable loading dock arm (not included) with a built-in electrical outlet and can be positioned horizontally or vertically for precise direction of air flow. The permanent split capacitor motor provides both starting torque and the ability to run at variable speeds. The motor of the TPI workstation fan is totally enclosed, making it suitable for use in conditions that standard, unenclosed motors are not, such as in the presence of dust or other airborne debris. This circulator head is Intertek Testing Services (ETL) listed for safety.

Industrial fans are used in workplace environments to exhaust fumes or direct air flow. Most industrial fans have coated metal parts and lubricated motors that are permanently sealed to help protect against environmental hazards, such as dirt and airborne debris or corrosive fumes. They can have fan blade cages that meet workplace safety standards, as well as a variety of mounting mechanisms for precise placement to direct large volumes of air flow. Electronic circuitry for industrial fans matches the power specifications found in the workplace and provides the initial torque needed to start up a large blade fan. Industrial fans are used in warehouses, gyms, and other commercial environments to ventilate spaces and to circulate air.

TPI Corporation manufactures industrial and commercial electrical heaters, process heat ovens, ventilation products and fans, lighting equipment, and thermostatic controls. The company, founded in 1950, is headquartered in Johnson City, TN.

The fan is not very well balanced, I bought the dock arm to install this on. On high it vibrates and sways back and forth. The fan mount that attaches to the arm is flimsy and the bolts that hold it to the fan are small. I would not consider this industrial other than the motor is enclosed. I assume the entire thing is made in China, the motor is for sure as that is what the sticker says, the switch is not enclosed in a box and feels cheap, the wires are exposed on the back of it. I have a few other 18" fans in the shop and this is louder and it moves about the same amount of air as a cheap Wal-Mart fan that cost $30. I expected more for the money, a coil cord would have been nice also rather than a cord dangling down from the socket on the dock arm, I guess you add your own zip ties for a custom look.

Love this fan perfect in the horse stall and being industrial it is perfect for the barn I have these fans at work an they run 24/7 and do not over heat only fault is the cord is to short had to make a short extension cord to reach the plugs would recommend this fan to everyone

We have installed 6 of these in our barn using the short dock arm. They last for years and move a lot of air. They seem much safer and more dependable than the cheaper box fans that many people use.

Moves lots of air and is very quiet. I use it in a Texas warehouse. Where our summer's bring 25 to 30 days of 100° +temps. Very focused high velocity.
