Love it. Great build and perfect size. Moves A LOT of air and has a nice deeper metal fan blade tone. I hope it lasts for years to come.

I liked the power of the fan. It definitely moves a lot of air. My issue is I use fans for sleep and on high it makes a weird noise so I could not use it.

It looks like a received a used fan. The outer amazon box looked clean but the inner box looked like it was re-taped and the box was pretty beat up. No instructions.Fan has a good size dent in the front. This is a very sturdy fan so it would have to be hit very very hard to bend the metal like that.Blades and shaft are out of balance and rattle like crazy when the fan is tilted at certain angles.Back panel has splatter of gunk and scratch marks.I hope this was just a freak mix up. So I will exchange it and update my review later. So far not a good experience for such an expensive item.-------------UPDATEI got a new fan.the good:-Very heavy duty cage-Long high quality power 3 prong power cord.the bad:-slight ticking noise, but it seems to be going away as it breaks in-the bolts that connect the base to the fan were loose and allowed the fan to rotate and not stay at the angle you want. Had to tighten them myself.-sticker on the front is off center and not applied smoothly. The verdict:Most of the money seems to be going into the heavy cage and power cord, but the quality control seems pretty weak to me.If this was a 50 dollar fan I would give it 5 stars. For 100 dollars and the hassle of returning one and tightening bolts on the second one I give this 3 stars.

I love how well made this fan is. Very quiet. Excellent price for the quality. Arrived in perfect condition.

High quality fan that really moves air. Not too noisy, but in high-speed it does get loud, something that is unavoidable with any fan that moves a ton of air. This thing is built like a tank, with a heavy gauge grill; you can see this is not some cheapo unit, definitely a quality machine. Hoping to get years of constant use from this fan.

I think this is an extremely underrated fan. The build quality of this is on-par with the quality of the fans from the 1980s. The motor has oil ports for lubricating the bearings, something I haven't seen on any fans in at least 20 years. The motor is large, powerful, and quiet. The blade is balanced. The stand is stable and the guards are solid. There are large, rubber feet on the stand. The cord is significantly longer than what comes on most appliances today, and it's grounded. The only downside to this fan is there is little difference in the speeds. I would have preferred the low speed be half of what it is. The fan puts out a very strong breeze on all speeds, and due to the lack of range it is also relatively noisy on all speeds. However it's only the sound of the blades cutting through the air, a very pleasant sound in my opinion. No motor hum, clicking, vibrating, or other nuisance sounds. You probably won't forget it's on, but it's easy to ignore in the background. It is rather heavy, while I find this to be a plus, others may find that disagreeable. The only other new fan I know of that comes close to this one in terms of quality is the Air King 9212. The Air King has a better range in speeds, and has ball bearings instead of sleeve, however the blade is not balanced well causing an excessive amount of vibration. The built quality of this TPI fan, in particular the quality control and consistency, seems superior to the Air King. This is an expensive fan, but it's worth every penny. The performance and build quality are outstanding. With regular cleaning and a few drops of oil, I don't see any reason why this fan won't last for many years to come, like fans used to.

My fan arrived tonight in a very well packaged box, complete with several pieces of Styrofoam contoured to the motor and the grille section. Inside the box are instructions and an itemized parts list and after removing the fan it's immediately apparent that this thing is built as a real industrial use fan. The grille wire is thicker and stiffer than even my Patton fan's grille, which itself makes most other fans feel cheap and fragile. Needless to say I'm impressed. The cord is very long at approximately 10 feet, and the motor is sealed from dust and moisture ingress. The fan is fairly quiet, and moves an expected amount of air for its 12" size. The best feature of this particular model is of course the build quality and high quality construction. For $75, a fan that should last a lifetime seems like a steal. I'd buy another in a second.
