As others have stated, this thing doesn't work. I tried just off the horn, my leg swings under. I tried off the horn & around the back, & it's way too short. I've tried attaching it where the rear billet straps attach to & tieing a knot at the height that I need it to be & it still swings my leg under. I'm better off getting my horse next to the panels, climbing them, then getting on him. This might work for small, light weight children.

This just doesn't work for me. I'm 5'2" and this just shoots under my horse no matter what I do. I can't wrap it around my saddle because it isn't long enough. I will try again to practice with it but so far it is a failure for me.

So I bought this for the rare occasion that I’d have to dismount my horse, or, had an emergency. Yesterday, July 31, 2019 I had such an issue. I carry this in mini travel pouch. I confidently took it out and set it up to help mount my horse. To my utter shock and dismay when you put your foot in it ( either foot) your foot SWINGS under your horses belly making it impossible to mount. I tried different ways for about 15 minutes. This STIRRUP MOUNTING AID is a piece of crap! Don’t buy it. I had to walk a half mile until I came to a fence which I could climb up on. I wish I could return it. DON’T BUY.

This is an excellent item for short riders and tall horses. The strap goes over the saddle horn and then loop the rest behind the stirrup flap, adjust the stirrup strap to where you can easily put your right foot in and then the left foot into the saddle stirrup. This does take a little practice

Works. A little akward but gets easier. Hanging from horn stirrup goes under belly and couldnt get up. In longest setting I was able to put behind seat of saddle and worked for me!!

I’m 4 foot 11 this helps me get on the horse better looks just like image! Does swing bad but helps

Not the best purchase I have made. Found it swings under horse when trying to mount. If you have it too low it is hard to swing leg over. If you use it like a step to put right foot in then left it might be better, but not my style.Would not suggest you buy. Get a mounting block instead!
