Admittedly, I picked this up because the band Gorillaz uses a melodica in quite a few of their songs and I wanted to be able to catch and enjoy that sound.I don't play piano, so this wasn't any easier for me, but it is fun to play around as you do have quite a broad range. It is very loud, and you can't play it low so keep that in mind.I like that it comes with several mouth pieces and hoses in case they get damaged or need to be replaced for other reasons. While it doesn't feel particularly amazing, this is more of a novelty instrument and I can't complain at this price point.

PROS: very complete set, with two different mouthpieces, two flexible extension tubes, cleaning cloth and carry / storage bag; like all melodicas the sound quality depends on the player's breathing technique, but this one can deliver a surprisingly nice tone for the price; carry bag has an interior pocket to hold all accessories and an adjustable shoulder strapCONS: none, highly recommend for interested beginners who like a sound similar to accordion but want a more versatile and easy to learn instrument, and people who already play piano (keyboard matches a couple steps on the piano so melodica is relatively easy for piano players to learn)Note that no instructions or music are included but music books are available for purchase online from music and book stores, and there are lots of instructional videos and tutorials online also. It's a fun, unusual instrument that plays similar to a piano or electronic keyboard.
