This is the genuine article, not a 2.6 amp sold as 5.4.Yes it can charge a 750 amp battery in 2 hours, IF you do it "right." The right way is to do it outdoors on a cool day when the temp is between 65 and 80. Or, do it indoors where the temp is mechanically maintained near 75.My first use of this charger, the temp was 85 when I started, 4.5 hours later the temp was over 90 when the battery was fully charged and this thing shut itself off.This is the same time it took the 2.6 amp charger to work in the same temps. Time savings: zero.Unlike the 2.6, this one has a fan built in to cool while charging. I guess I thought that would allow it to charge at lower risk of thermal runway, and it probably does. But actual ambient temperature obviously makes a difference to Toro, and it seems to shift into snow mode around 85-90 degrees.I must say the fan on this is WEAK! I have greenworks 10A 80V battery using their charger with fan and it moves some serious air volumes. I've charged in 100 degree heat (being careful to keep everything in the shade) and it works the same as indoors at 75. Not so Toro.I feel uncomfortable using Lion high power chargers indoors. I do it with greenworks only when the weather has turned bad. With Toro, I expect to have to do it indoors all the time if I want fast charging. Or wait until winter when the weather is cool before cutting my grass.Of questionable value to me and I wish someone else had pointed this out before I bought that Toro electric mower.
