I have a truck camper with a 9 ft 10 in floor, this was the best length to allow me to hook a car trailer without being too long and losing capacity. It’s heavy duty as all Torklift products are, and when I’m using it I don’t worry about any problems. It’s expensive. Buy once, cry once. And get the best on the market.

I've had to modify various Torklift products I've installed on my Dodge RAM 3500 dually to make them work, and this is no exception. Don't plan on it working out of the box. Although I can put a standard bike rack, for example, in the lower 2" receiver, the hitch extension is a tiny bit too large. I discovered that by sanding it, flipping it upside down, jiggling it with a lot of force, filing out the pin hole, then painting, I could just get it installed without shipping it back.Torklift definitely needs to do a better job with tolerances and testing when they build their products.Furthermore, this product is stabilized laterally in place with a number of clevises as well as turnbuckles. I've found that the clevis pin can unscrew when hand tightened as per directions and even that the chain loosens after initial install and driving around. Not because the turnbuckles aren't secure, just because it is a chain and clevises. I recommend safety wire on the clevis pins and installing them from the top so they are less likely to fall out if you don't want to safety wire. Also you should consider carrying a couple of wrenches to retighten the turnbuckles after the system has had a chance to jiggle / wear for a few road miles. All in all the tolerances should be better.More importantly, a device with simple steel members (in place of celvis, turnbuckle, and chain) to stabilize the device laterally would be safer and easier to install. Not like you are going to get out of using tools to put it on / take it off, but using chains for laterally stability is a farmer solution. I know, I'm a farmer and this could be a lot less fiddly. All that being said, the device works for carrying a bike rack behind a truck camper and would certainly tow. I may eventually fabricate chain replacements when I get tired of fiddling with them during install as I don't just leave it on all the time.
